American Idol... Bye bye James! Woo Hoo!!!

Postby G.I.Jim » Fri May 13, 2011 12:17 pm

FINALLY, the Adam Lambert wannabe is off the show! :D Now if we can just vote off Scotty, we can get to the two best singers of the season. I like both Hailey AND Lauren, so it'll be a tough choice. I hope it's between the two of them. THANKS FOR TONIGHT AMERICA!!! :P

Watched one episode and there was a fat broad whose friend was her biggest supporter. I think she even got Steven Tyler to sing a verse of one of his songs. I thought she was awesome. No idea what her name is and I'm sure she's probably gone.

nope! She's Lauren, and she's in the top 3! :D And she's not fat Dan, she's just a little "healthy", and she's only 16. Cut her some slack!

That's her I think. Fat, hillbilly broad, but a really sweet girl. I hope she wins. :)

This guy was never really marketable anyway. He's frankenstein with satellite dishes for ears. He's no more attractive than the next pizza delivery guy. I wish him well with singing. His voice is pretty good. But he's just not a poster boy.

Dear Journey:

PLEASE place some kind of moratorium on Don't Stop Believing. It needs to go away for about 5 years in any way, shape or form.

Seriously, it is so played to death that it makes Stairway to Heaven look like a lost classic...

It has been played at every hs and college commencement
I have attended for the last
5-7 years, if not longer ...it's going to inspire a sing along
as surely as the kleenex are going to start dabbing away
during P&C!!
Just last week a 5 year old boy, sitting in front of me,
sang every word <<<<things like this, will always be
so cool, to me!!

You know, I never cared for AI, to me it's what's wrong with music today. I have watched some shows here & there in the past but it never floated my boat so to speak. But I did tune in to watch a few episodes after my sister convinced me over the phone that there is a guy named James who CAN sing and sings RNR good. So I dvr the show and watched. What happened to James Durbin was highway robbery. It has been rumored for years that this show is fixed, and the voting is a complete farce, but I hardly watched the show and never really cared. But I watched just to see Durbin, and I am absolutely convinced now that this show's "competition" is about as real as pro wrestling.

He's the most entertaining thing on there.

Actually, having seen the video which that image was taken from, I actually believe Jonathan Cain wasn't faking it. He was reflecting on a little kid who was dying and his last wish was to meet Journey before he died. The band visited him in the hospital and played him the recording of "Only The Young" and he was the first person outside of the band to hear the song. And then the kid died the next day.

You're only three or four years late to the party here. One day, when you have nothing to do of course, you should peruse the older posts on this site. I'm pretty sure there are a few hundred posts on this subject, much less the whole BTM episode. The fake cry has been debated very thoroughly and even after all that, the consensus is still much divided.

Yes, the search function here makes it a tad difficult. We have overanalyzed every media appearance, every song ever written, the financial and social well being of every member past and present, we are constantly repeating ourselves or trampling over old theories or alleged facts with new material to add to the fire.

Even I was late to this party believe it or not. Mere chance brought me into this place and I spent the first three months just reading through the old stuff to try and figure out what king of Warped Journey -wiki site it was that I had actually stumbled across.
