Tressel is being completely hung-out-to-dry for the types of things that most other coaches just get a slap on the wrist over.
For some unexplainable reason, anyone that's not from Ohio just seems to hate OSU.

ebake, are you happy because a wrong was righted, or because you think Penn State will
suddenly become a better program?!?!

This is one of the types of reasons why I told you that I consider you to be one of the classiest people on this entire forum!
I would think being a Michigan fan that you'd be happy knowing that Tressel is gone from OSU?!?!
Journey/Survivor wrote:Thing that pisses me off about this with Tressel. Not only is OSU now loosing one of the best coaches in College Football, but Jim Tressel is a good guy. I've been a fan of his since his early days with Youngstown State. He's a very classy individual.
I'm not saying that he didn't do anything wrong as far as this "scandal" is concerned. I wish he would have handled some things differently. But he was doing his job, which was to try to win the National Championship, or the Sugar Bowl, this past season. I doubt that there's another coach at that level of competition that would not have done the same type of stuff to give his team a chance to win a Championship.
On the bright side, at least. Sometime in the next season or two OSU will probably land a coach along the lines of Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops or Jon Gruden.

I don't know ...is it strange?!? I was always of the belief, if you want to be the best you have to beat the
best ...isn't the novelty sort of wearing thin ...beating the "M" in their current state?!? It is really no big deal!!
I like Tressel, too ...he's done an incredible job and I agree, seems like a top notch guy!!
I root for all big 10 schools, I want them all at the top of their game ...gives their competitors/us something
to live up to, to fight for, to be proud to be a part of ...oh, and Pete, GOOD, perhaps they will put some
fight back into the conf., I'm all for whatever it takes, We have no fear, wtf!!

His problem came when a booster for the program made him aware of the situation all he had to do was to forward the email to his compliance officer and he is fine. Period, end of story. Forward the stinking email!!!

It's because of my vile hatred for Jim Tressel and Ohio State.

Every time I think you couldn't prove yourself to be any more full of complete and total shit, you come out with THIS garbage. Dude, this whole scandal is just unfolding - from most accounts, this is the tip of the iceberg. What he has done is every bit as bad as any of the coaches whose football programs were recently outed by the NCAA.
People don't hate OSU. They rightly resent the fact they got to play for the championship twice with at least one loss when there were undefeated teams who didn't even get a shot.
Good luck to ya. The only winning program of any kind in Ohio just fucked itself. Well, maybe the Indians are for real.

Your opinion means less than nothing.
Tressel did NOT cheat in games. Unlike Belicheat.
