The sound clips don't sound like traditional Journey.

Bought mine from Amazon, but only because the Wal Mart digital download wasn't really presented well. Looked like too much of a hassle. Can't blame the band for that one.

I grabbed mine from Amazon too. There are so many specials on their site, you don't know what you might run across on any given day. I've never though about downloading anything from Wal-Mart to tell you the truth. When it comes to the digital market, they are very rarely the best deal in town.

You know do to the lack of promotion, regardless of units sold, those are respectable chart positions! If Revelation had not been as successful as it was everyone would be elated about a chart position of #13 and #4 on two other charts. I'm actually impressed!

Of course, but you will always be measured against your last attempt. If it was closer, that would be one thing but it's not. And remember, Journey was actually even more popular two years after Revelation was released so of course you would expect them the band to have, if not greater, than at least equal success this time out.

Mid week predictions are in for the next chart update.

Lady Gaga (Interscope) 180-195k
Adele (XL/Columbia) 120-130k
*Death Cab For Cutie (Atlantic) 90-95k
*Eddie Vedder (Monkeywrench) 60-65k
Brad Paisley (Arista Nashville) 60-65k
*My Morning Jacket (ATO/RED) 40-45k
Now 38 (Capitol/EMI) 40-45k
Jason Aldean (Broken Bow/RED) 28-32k
*Flogging Molly (Borstal Beat/RED) 27-30k
Mumford & Sons (Glassnote/RED) 25-28k
Glee : The Music Vol. 6 (Columbia) 19-22k
Lemonade Mouth (Walt Disney) 18-21k
MMG Presents: Self Made, Vol. 1 (Maybach/WB) 18-21k
Katy Perry (Capitol/EMI) 18-21k
Seether (Wind-up) 17-20k

Adele just keeps on cruisn' , she has had steady numbers in and out, every week for the last two months.

We'll see if Journey can sneak back in there at 15 or 14.

Is Gordon Lightfoot's music considered folk (or is it Folk-rock)? I do like a lot of his tunes.

If I ever get my review of Eclipse up, he's mentioned! Hell, I'm gonna do it right now. Starting my own thread for it, too. Here we go ...

I know OF Gordon Lightfoot but, though I'm sure I've heard something by him, I can't think of a single tune that I know from him.

He had one of those story teller songs that was famous, "The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald." and a few pop type songs, "If You Could Read My mind", "Carefree Highway", "Rainy Day People", "Sundown", etc.

Wow, I thought for sure they would go top 10 in Sweden. Not that it's much of a sales difference in those smaller nations but Sweden has usually been very pro-Journey.

Yeah I thought it would do alot better in Sweden too! I was thinking a top 20 at least. Maybe it will pick up a little momentum when they start touring overthere. It will be interesting to see what Japan's numbers are.

Yeah, outside of the UK, that's the Country that's most important sales wise (not including the U.S. of course).

You know, I had completely forgotten about Journey's Greatest Hits reaching #12 on the UK charts last year. It had, I believe a 19 week run on the top 100 overall. It will be interesting to see how Eclipse stacks up as a continuous presence on the charts, if the Euro tour can sustain it for awhile.

I never knew American Country music, or more specifically Brad Paisley was so popular overseas. The guy is top ten and even top five in a lot of countries.
