With "Revelation", I was definitely a little more into the album as a whole. I'll even go so far as to say "Where Did I Lose Your Love" ranks up there with one of my favorite Journey songs period. I don't know, "Eclipse" just seems to be missing something I can't really put my finger on.
BINGO!
I also agree with Strangegrey, there are good parts in a lot, if not all, of the songs but most of the songs are incomplete. COL, EOTM, Reasonate, Ritual, and I'll officially throw in AIP are good to great songs (especially the first 3 or 4 I mentioned). But, the others - they miss. Some a little, some a little more.
If this band produced 2 really good songs at this point in their careers, that's much more than most other nostalgia bands give us. It's good, eh?
I mean, really, what can people expect? I'm in the camp of being appreciative that they put forth the effort for us. The rest can just
go suck off an elephant dick. There is a "certain" group here that will say anything in an attempt to derail this or any other album this band produces.
Most people here are keen to this, thus negating such attempts. I'm sure it pisses some people off to no end that this band, despite the fact certain
circles wants to hate them and want them to fail, keeps proving they are worthy of fan's admiration.
Not to go too deep, but this is a dysfuntional family we have right here on MR.
