Which is nothing next to the pain of being unable to produce children when one is as lifeless and infertile as a tundra.

I don't blame you, you were probably wrestling with a bag of chips when the doctor called to give you the news.
But don't get upset, you might eat more. And your poor floor can only hold so much.

He was right...I thought he was awesome early on up through the "Arrival" tour.

My gf bought me the first TS album a few years back and it's phenomenal.

I was disappointed in that album...I only really like "Wild on the Run". I like the Tyketto album "Shine" much better.

Never listened to it. Isn't it out of production?

Saint John wrote:2008 is correct, Gideon. Here is the verbatim quote:

"Despite the logic, the unavoidable logic, that if Steve Perry was still in the band, and I know that there's a giant public out there that would love nothing more, they're clueless to the fact that the guy can't sing anymore."

"I've heard that he's gone to the greatest vocal teachers and got the best help that you can get and it's just not there anymore. "

I tend to believe this but, then again, I wouldn't trust Herbie's word any farther than you could throw him and, judging by his size, I don't even think I could throw him forward but would, more than likely, collapse and have him fall backwards, crushing the life out of me.

Not after listening to Perry's vocals on that David Pack song in 2005. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuJt1RlQ1yE

Sounds fine to me. Maybe it hurts him to sing a lot, like Andrew mentioned, but he can damn sure still sing. Not like he's gone down to a baritone like Elton John.

Well, since we're bringing 2005 and his vocal prowess from that year into the equation, how about we submit his "singing" from the White Sox celebration into evidence?  Besides, the Pack vocal sounded computerized and was only a few words! I'd hardly call that a barometer of the guy's vocal condition. But I would call 17 years of live silence.

When I started this thread, I never thought it would have such legs.

It's chock full of a Gideon/Michigan Girl throwdown, St. John's well thought out input (not being sarcastic either...even though you sap the optimism out of me, it's warranted and it ultimately always make sense to me), and even a few Herbie references. Well done, all!

Now, where's Deano?

I am so thankful for his music. He was and always will be my favorite. And I am also thankful that my husband and I got to go see all the concerts we did. I have to say they were the best concerts we ever saw. Those memories are priceless. I just hope he knows that.
On my way to better things......I found myself some wings
