Their Greatest Hits? Vision Quest soundtrack? What version of ROR was it released on?

You mean like the constant spewing of "We'll see" everyone had to endure for months ad nauseam from you? You're hardly the arbiter of what does and what does not constitute a brilliant post... and will never be, until you produce Perry's new solo album.

Hmm..... It seems that in my current state of drunkeness, I've mixed up Only The Young with Be Good To Yourself.

See, I have no business drinking and talking about Journey. My bad.

As for my info on Steve's comeback album....Fool me once shame on you....Fool me twice........

That'll never happen again.

You ought to lay off the booze. Turns you into a rather contentious prick on all things Perry.

Perry's place in history is secure. We all know that.

In Journey's history, definitely. The guy (along with the rest of the band) still gets snubbed everywhere else.

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that as you listen to "The Eyes of a Woman."

Eyes is much more sophisticated than any of the shredding garbage that Neal spews on Eclipse.

It's one of SP's finest vocal performances. I'd love to hear Arnel try and sing the last minute of that song. He'd have to have Deen bail him out again.

As far as getting snubbed, SP wasn't getting snubbed by 55,000 fans a night while singing along with DSB at the Giants games last year.

They didn't seem to be snubbing him at all.

You're right, but it's better than Perry either taking the song's tempo to Tasmanian Devil proportions and still mangling it.

Let's see how close Eclipse gets to Street Talk in sales. Wanna make a bet?

Think it'll get near 2 million? Hmm.... Maybe they can re-record ROR and package it and fuzz up the numbers.

Oh, that's right, they can't re-record ROR, Arnel couldn't sing it.

I like different albums for different reasons. There have been clunker songs, sure, ( like all bands have ) but all in all Journey has made a lot of good music that no matter what era preference someone has, they have something to enjoy.

Gid can say what he wants about Street Talk.........just heard Oh Sherrie on a classic radio station 'again' this morning. That song still gets tons of play years and years later. 8)

I like ROR boatloads better than Eclipse......I'll take It Could Have Been You, Girl Can't Help It, I'll Be Alright Without You, Why Can't This Night...... anyday. Tried again, I just can't get into Eclipse's vibe for some reason.........LOL maybe I should try listening to it after something other than What If.... after that one, it just sounds anticlimactic to me.

Gotta give the nod to Escape - so so many classics (DSB, SIL, WCN, the title track, MF, OA). Despite Cain radically changing the band's direction, I still view the album as a team effort. Can't say the same for ROR, which remains a SP vanity project.
