Jimmy Page & Black Crowes

Postby Peartree12249 » Thu Jul 14, 2011 3:23 pm

Jimmy Page sighting. Jimmy sat in with his old friends the Black Crowes last night. Looks like a good time was had by all. 8) Wish I could have been there.

Hell freakin yeah. That was cool. I do wish they would tour together again. Had tickets to the original tour years ago, but as the story goes, Jimmy's back went out on him a couple dates before my show, and the remainder of the tour was cancelled not long after that. Still have never seen JP live to this day.

Anyone here know if there ever was an official DVD released of any of the shows from the Page+Crowes tour?

Had tickets to see them at Riverbend and I just was so sad. The 1st show cancelled was the one I was going to. We were packed and ready to leave when we found out. Sad to this day. Fact is, Black Crowes sounded killer with him and the Zep tunes were better than zep live in some ways because all of the guitar parts were there. You had three lead players. Listen to their version of 10 years gone live. Jesus it is good.

I don't think so. My son burnt me a dvd off the net of one of their shows, it was clearly a VHS recording someone made as you can see the tracking lines the first few minutes. It's a damn good concert though, lots of Zeppelin with a few select BC songs thrown in. Pretty sure they released it as a live CD.

Yeah, I have the two CD live release. Just was hoping to get some video to enjoy for now and the future. 8)

Not official, but I found this one online. I don't own it so I can't vouch for the quality. If you decide to buy it, please pm me and let me know what you think about the quality.
