That's a great song!

 Disco sucks dude!!!

Does this live version really sound anything less than hard rock?

Difference. I Was Made For Loving You was a hit, and KISS kind of have to play it. Make Love Like A Man sucks and Leppard keep playing it every tour. Play Stagefright or something instead.
Gene Simmons actually hates IWMFLY as well.

See he has to take the good with the bad as well. I guess Leppard plays "Make Love.." because it was a bigger hit than "Stagefright" or other deep cuts. The same reason Kiss plays IWMFLY instead of some obscure Kiss track. I'd love to hear Leppard replace it w/ "Paper Sun", but gotta take the good w/ the bad.

I'm not sure I've ever heard "make love like a man"' in recent tours...and I've seen them a lot! Ditto on the Paper Sun though! LOVE that song! They pulled out "Let it Go" this tour, and I love that as well!!

Def leppard, when they write & play their "epic" tunes like Paper Sun, Scar, Gods of War, Desert song, they are at their best.

Ok, it sounds like if I can only stretch the budget to one, then it's the DL/Heart/Choirboys line-up, which was sort of my leaning anyway. SD/SW as second if the finances are more elastic.

However, it may be a moot point - just applied for a job at the venue they are all playing in; might be able to see all of them!
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

2nd point which may or may not be worth considering....99% of the people here are from the US and John Farnham is an unknown here. Take that for what it's worth, but he never had a chance of winning in your poll, even though I'd LOVE to see him live one day. Either way though, you can't go wrong seeing Heart live.

One of the considerations for me is that I have seen him perform live before, more than once. He does an AMAZING show, and I'd happily go see him again, but I just don't think I can stretch the budget that much. But I just couldn't leave him off the list
