Ok, so it wasn't just me then thinking Faithfully was a mess. I trust Rick's judgement.

I can't remember when he sang it that it wasn't a mess. How do you continuously fuck up a trademark song? Baffles me.

No...it sounds awful.

It's not great, but not awful; I've heard clips of Perry singing it in '94, so....

It's awful. Stop fooling yourself.

Jeez, a little harsh on Perry aren't you? Out of character for you.

This. I swear at times he seems to be trying to sing the songs like he's singing some opera or something. I love the band with Arnel but he has to stop this. I hope he gets it together before they come to KC.

They seem to have changed the pace on Faithfully. It draaaags on and sounds like shit. They should go completely live on that one. Ditch the click track and just dial it up to a better speed. I found myself singing ahead of him, but it's the music tempo that's making him drag out the fucking words. Speed it up, fellas.

Way too short of a concert. I would be pissed had I paid for front row seats to this one.

Why did it work for Deen though? Did they change it when Arnel took the song?

Doesn't sound like any canned backing vocals for Any Way You Want It.

Some venues have a rule to be done by 11pm! With THREE headliners, that's how it is! They need only 2 bands on the bill as far as I'm concerned! Def Lep ended up with 2 and it was great!

First time I've heard this lineup in a long time. I took some good with it and some bad (my usual issues).

Enjoyed commenting on it with you all. Interesting to post real time during a show.

Dan, there is no click track on dragging songs or speed variations within songs. IMO the click track is dead, gone, restin' on the bottom of the cage

Yeah, they need to get back to 17 or 18 songs.

It's cool to hear Neal's voice, albeit distant, on the AWYWI backing vocals. :)

I just hope the audience doesn't get the same feel we do. That's probably the song they all come to hear, outside of DSB. I can't think of another they need to polish more.

Can't really judge Arnel on AWYWI. Didn't really hear him singing a lot. I'm assuming he was just letting the crowd sing.

The crowd seemed to love it from their reaction. Maybe it just sounds a lot better there than on the feed.

Lights and LTS are the 2 that I'm the most sick of them playing live.

I could also live without them playing Open Arms and Faithfully over the next few years.

The guys reported that no one was leaving and wanted the band to return. So much for Journey getting the poor reception.

Yeah, distortion hides a lot. The uptempo sounded a lot better actually being there.

I agree it's just waayy too short. I've got 5* again for Indy and I thought the shortened set list was just due to the ugly stretch they had getting the Today show in there. Now it's seems to be the norm
