Worst I've ever heard Kelly to be honest. Still wasn't bad, but in person and on bootleg DVD's he's amazing. Very unforgiving stream tonight.

The live stream doesn't seem to have any reverb, and it's put both singers in a tough spot. Now the end of Cold As Ice Kelly was on fire. Very, very good. Urgent sounded like a bad vocal fit. Like his voice was almost too deep.

I hope they re-broadcast "Ask the Lonely" (because they interrupted it)...It will take some time -but I'm going to 'eq' it and convert to mp3 for anyone interested...hope to have up late late tonight, or sometime tomorrow for those interested - I'm sure SOMEONE will beat me to the punch and that's totally ok, I'll still upload for those who want my encode/rip

cheers,

Up Your's! LOL!! It took me at least an hour just to get out of the parking lot in Chicago after I waited 30 minutes after the show ended. It was such huge show!! I would have loved to be listening to clips from the concert in the car. This radio station is getting it right!!

They're playing WITS again and it is just a spectacular rendition.

I thought it sounded pretty good to me. I didn't hear any flat notes. Listening to Head Games right now....sounds great.

How? Is it still available online somewhere?

my take on this show for what its worth, foreigner sounded awesome, Hansen is not lou Gramm and doesn't try to be but he can freaking sing, his prime was back in Hurricane days but he's not 25 anymore. As for Arnel, what I thought would happen is coming true, this setlist is killing his voice night after night just like it did Perry's and Augeri's, thats why they have to tune down some oft the songs, but all in all I have to say it sounded like a great rock and roll show and wish I was there and we need to stop trying to compare today's live shows to the original album recordings, !'m sure all 18000 follks there had a good time, I know I did just listening to it over the net. It wa a little short of a setlist for JRNY though I doo agree.

Thanks! They are alternating between playing Foreigner and Journey. That's kind of cool. I was at work so I didn't get to catch it when it was going on.

Listening to the replay...too much dragging on the phrases. Faithfully is horrible. Lights wasn't much better. Not sure what Arnel is trying to do.

Overall, I think it would have been great to be there. And @ the people complaining; Perry wasn't perfect every night and I could find examples aplenty. That's live rock and roll for you and EVERY singer as their A-game and their C-game nights. It's a hazard of the job.

The app I posted about the other day that I used to listen to show also recorded it for me, so now a nice replay on my sound system in my truck is providing me a winning Thursday morning. Sounds better second time around.

OTOH they could be doing it live without a net i.e. no backing tracks or click track. It is easy in Sonar to remove/turn off a track. If the timing is off, varies within a song, drags, speeds up then forget being able to time your watch by a JRNY song  Just saying something is strange in the tempo of some of the songs and pondering what it might be due to. :?:

Long time lurker here.
I'm enjoying following this thread!

I am hoping someone captured the FM Broadcast of both bands and will torrent the recordings in lossless format one of the "Big Three" lossless live recording torrent sites soon.

I'm eagerly anticipating catching Journey/Foreigner/Night Ranger here in Austin on September 222nd!
I'm expecting this gig to be the Austin rock show of the year. :D

For what it's worth, I'm working on it - I got the whole thing captured - adjusting volume and adding some bottom end. Have a busy day at work so will have to wait until I have sometime. Will have up later today / this evening (US - Pacific Time)
