I can see where he would think he'd lose more promoting Eclipse than he would
gain, smart move!!
Brilliant move putting NR and Foreigner on this tour ticket!!

There is one too many acts on this bill and we are getting short changed on the sets because of it. I feel Journey could
have played a couple more songs from the new album, had they not needed to work within a certain time frame to
appease those who need to hear all of the DD.

You're 100% wrong. The new songs went over like a lead balloon, as did Send Her My Love. The crowd (at the Detroit show at least) totally checked out. It would have made a much better show if Journey were to CUT 3 tracks and give the extra 15 minutes to Night Ranger who were the best band of the night.

both of those bands would have played better sets too.

City of Hope went over very well at the show I went to. Edge of the Moment did not. Worst energy killer of the night - period - was the piano solo before Open Arms. The crowd almost seemed like they WANTED to support the band for Edge of the Moment, but the energy literally drained out for the piano solo in the form of sitting down, pissing and just leaving. I'd say 5% of the crowd left during the piano solo. Its a rock-n-roll show - they need to drop that and only play it for "evenings with".

Man, unlike you, I thought he did a really nice on that one, and it got almost no applause. people just don't identify with anything other than the DD. MOL was the same way, too. And they tried it with Augeri and Soto. A little better applause, but not much. I think the opening slot helped the applause or it would have gotten the "golf clap," too.

It would be interesting to see if they would include both songs in the Japan shows next year. MOL was a minor hit at #71 on the Japanese Charts but WYLAW climbed all the way to #6 over there.

It did make it on to the Billboard Hot 100, unlike a number of the songs that are on GH 2.

I guess it's a matter of perspective. You say "holds the keys" and I say "lives in the past." Listen, the guy is content with helping Sony repackage the same thing over and over and over, and that's great. Like they really need help with a track listing to which songs charted or were popular! I'm all for selling products. But to offer up the mere consent of Neal and Jon as some badge of merit for a guy that has toyed with "scales, thinking about it, demos, 50 songs" and every other bullshit half-truth is just lame. Kind of like "Uncle Stevie isn't getting any younger, you know?" The guy sits on his ass for 17 years doing nothing but playing the "Journey didn't wait for me!!!" victim and now he's playing the age card?!? Someone has a major problem with the truth.

And by the same token, I'm sure they'd think that you're a 14 year old locked in the body of a 40 year old. You know, the kind that travels around under the guise of "live music" only to come back and showcase the latest shameless hugs and face licking encounters. Once, just once, can you meet a male artist or "fave" without a hug or face licking? I'm not sure I'd let anyone do that shit to me and I'm quite sure that I can meet people that I admire without a hug. A simple "It's a great honor to meet someone whose work I've admired" and a handshake would suffice. You? No way. No trip is complete without a hug and some saliva. I'm quite sure there's a simultaneous mini-seismic event south of the border, as well.
