Hall Of Fame Classes By Cities From ESPN

Good read, and even though I'm admittedly VERY biased, it's tough to argue with the guys on Boston's list. Williams is the greatest hitter ever, Orr is arguably the greatest hockey player to ever play in the NHL, and Russell is a guy with more championship rings than he has fingers and really isn't appreciated by anyone under the age of 60. I love that the author of this article goes right after Jordan to illustrate just how unbelievable Russell's accomplishments were.

Russell played in an era without a goaltending rule....edge Bill. 11 for 13 - 'nuff said.

My Top 5 Boston HOF players (seen in MY lifetime)

Larry Bird - THE smartest basketball player i've ever seen. Telling opponents, "I'm getting the ball on the left baseline, and you're not stopping me". And he'd make the shot. His 60 pt. effort against ATL in '85 is still my favorite offensive display....best passer I have ever seen. Never witnessed Pistol Pete, and Nash and Kidd can only dream they are better passers than Larry Joe....Magic is a close 2nd. Coming to the 3point contests asking opponents, "Who's playing for 2nd?". LOL

Cam Neely - FUCK YOU, ULF!!! I can't even begin to explain how fucking good this dude was. Tough as nails, and could lay the smackdown....couldn't be pinched along the boards like players are today...career cut short by injury(like Orr). Never witnessed Orr.

Kevin McHale - invented the low-post move. His up-and-under pivot could not be stopped, or blocked. Honestly, i don't think he EVER had his shot blocked. Scored 56 points about a week before Bird scored his 60.

Pedro Martinez - Quite frankly, the best pitcher of his generation...and my lifetime. I've listed his accolades ad nauseum here...all you need to know is he was the real deal, and his change-up was better than Mo's cutter, and Randy's slider....sorry.

Tom Brady - most people call him a "system QB"...well if that system is winning, then they are correct. Dude flat out has ice water in his veins. When all is said and done, he will be ahead of Montana. My favorite player is Barry Sanders, but he didn't play for NE...so i had to list Tom....now, his man-card should probably be revoked, but as far as chucking the rock, and his DECISION MAKING ABILITIES, he can't be beat.
