Forever All Over Again was an unlikely minor NR hit off the Neverland CD in 1998.

Foreigner wiped the floor with NR. Mick was replaced, and not missed. Besides, NR doesn't have the catalog to carry the second slot....Hansen is the consumate front man. As good as the new NR is, they just don't bring it on stage...sorry.

As far as I'm concerned any of these bands could knock the ball out of the park with a 20+ headliner set. Its 3 of the best. Night Ranger has become ridiculously underrated.

Honestly, either band should be headlining over Journey...seriously. I sang along, and enjoyed meeting Arnel and Jon...but I was far from impressed with them on stage. I thought Hansen and co. slayed.

If you put these 3 bands together Journey is the headliner - especially if you want to fill sheds. The show I saw everyone was ridiculously tight...including Journey. A+ game. Despite it being a pretty boring setlist for me for all 3 bands - they were all on fire. Foreigner was pretty damn perfect (and loud too) but it in no way was it a situation like during the Main Event tour where Styx was clearly the best band or on the Lippard tour when JSS wiped the stage floor with their heads.

Dude, you're such a fucking hypocrite, it's pathetic! And what did YOU do to deserve a meeting with Arnel and Jon? If they only read this forum and realized what a dick you are...unfriggingbelieveable! :?

AR wrote:I hesitate to say this, but must. Having a short Filipino singer, as good as he is, makes Journey look like they have an American Idol contestant fronting them. If you consider them a Hall of Fame Band (not the disgraceful Rock and Roll Hall of Fame mismanaged by the people from Rolling Stone) then touring with Arnel is odd. at least to me. The musical chair lead singer thing lost me after Steve A, but JSS kept me in the fold for another year.

As strange as the current Journey still looks to my eyes - they have made 2 albums/CD's together so the intent is there and enough people are on board with it so that's cool. It's valid, despite any of my reservations.

What really makes the blood boil is the band Boston and their karaoke lead singer from Home Depot with ZERO stage presence. I hate that. Just put an orange Depot apron on him and have him sing the classics while he finds me a pair of vice grips and some drywall.

Hmmm....let's say for argument's sake that Bruce Willis was my favorite actor...I couldn't meet him on the street, get a picture with him, then have the opinion that "Hudson Hawk" sucked?

Take the dick out of your mouth, it's making it hard for me to understand you....

The passes were given to me and another friend unexpectedly, and we offered them to our friends attending with us. Wasn't aware people are supposed to "do" something to "deserve" them, I didn't "do" anything to "deserve" them either, they were offered out of simple kindness and we simply offered them to friends out of the same kindness. Arnel and Jon are just people, last I was aware.

Arnel IS a great singer, but is not a great fit for Journey. I was more impressed with Foreigner too, but I've never been disappointed by Foreigner live anyhow. They are the best of the 3 on this tour IMO. Guess that makes me a "f*cking hypocrite" too. Run along and tell Jon.

Oh and I just noticed Jon's being talked about a few floors down too... eek! But hey, if only he read here.

And the Jon discussion is a bullshit one. Cain has far more clout, tenure and respect in his field than the one who certain organisms are trying to stick up for.

  There's a guy at my local Home Depot named Steve Perry - I swear to God! The first time I heard someone page him, I thought it was a joke but after hearing it several times over the course of a couple of years, I figured it was his real name. About a year ago they built a new store which is much closer to my house than the store where Perry works. But I'll be God damned if I wasn't strolling through the new store one day shortly after it opened and heard him paged again. Apparently he's the Pro Desk manager and transferred when the new store opened.

1) "thanks for playing" is a dumb phrase that got old a long time ago.
2) The "reviews" are mostly from the masses who are there for nostalgia, ONE song, DSB, and the other radio hits from long ago. The MASSES are NOT there for Arnel or the new album. Justin Beeber could come out on that stage singing DSB and that nostalgia audience would jump up all excited. This faction here who actually know anything about the history on one side, and on the other side people like you who just kiss ass, are a TINY minority compared to that nostalgia audience. You are clueless.
3) JSS fans are "organisms" now? MG's right, you're an ass. The discussion below is not a bullshit one at all. You just don't like that it paints one not so classy.

It just gets old to hear the same crap over and over when the truth is the masses have no clue about what the minority here knows. Case in point.. on the radio on the way in to the venue in Pitt, the guy says "So Journey is playing tonight too, and their lead guitarist Jon Cain, who I think has been there since the beginning of Journey, says that they replaced Steve Perry with this guy Arnel Pineda (he pronounced it Pin-knee-da) and says he sounds JUST LIKE Steve Perry!"

Lead guitarist?
Been there since the beginning?
Replaced SP with AP?   Oh just nevermind those EIGHT YEARS with Augeri  And sounds just like SP?
