I'll say it again. If Mick cannot return to the tour, Night Ranger should get the second slot and Foreigner should move to the opening slot.

Foreigner wiped the floor with NR. Mick was replaced, and not missed. Besides, NR doesn't have the catalog to carry the second slot....Hansen is the consumate front man. As good as the new NR is, they just don't bring it on stage...sorry.

As far as I'm concerned any of these bands could knock the ball out of the park with a 20+ headliner set. Its 3 of the best. Night Ranger has become ridiculously underrated.

If you put these 3 bands together Journey is the headliner - especially if you want to fill sheds. The show I saw everyone was ridiculously tight...including Journey. A+ game. Despite it being a pretty boring setlist for me for all 3 bands - they were all on fire. Foreigner was pretty damn perfect (and loud too) but it in no way was it a situation like during the Main Event tour where Styx was clearly the best band or on the Lippard tour when JSS wiped the stage floor with their heads.

I hesitate to say this, but must. Having a short Filipino singer, as good as he is, makes Journey look like they have an American Idol contestant fronting them. If you consider them a Hall of Fame Band (not the disgraceful Rock and Roll Hall of Fame mismanaged by the people from Rolling Stone) then touring with Arnel is odd. at least to me. The musical chair lead singer thing lost me after Steve A, but JSS kept me in the fold for another year.

As strange as the current Journey still looks to my eyes - they have made 2 albums/CD's together so the intent is there and enough people are on board with it so that's cool. It's valid, despite any of my reservations.

What really makes the blood boil is the band Boston and their karaoke lead singer from Home Depot with ZERO stage presence. I hate that. Just put an orange Depot apron on him and have him sing the classics while he finds me a pair of vice grips and some drywall.

There's a guy at my local Home Depot named Steve Perry - I swear to God! The first time I heard someone page him, I thought it was a joke but after hearing it several times over the course of a couple of years, I figured it was his real name. About a year ago they built a new store which is much closer to my house than the store where Perry works. But I'll be God damned if I wasn't strolling through the new store one day shortly after it opened and heard him paged again. Apparently he's the Pro Desk manager and transferred when the new store opened.
