Cliff Robertson "Uncle Ben" has passed away...

Postby G.I.Jim » Tue Sep 13, 2011 1:15 pm

Well, it looks like death is contagious this year. We have lost another great actor. Pretty sad, and I think he played the role perfectly. At least he lived a good long life. Rest in peace Cilff. :(

Bite my balls. :? :) And no, I won't. I promise not to disappoint you and bring the band back to life. That shit is over, and I don't think you could pay me enough money to ever deal with it again. It depresses the hell out of me to think that I wasted 3 years of my life. :?

Cliff is best remembers for the movie Charly based on a short story called Flowers for Algernon written by Daniel Keyes [that won a Hugo] and garnered Cliff an Oscar.

Robertson played a lot of good roles and in some great movies. For those of us that are older PT 109 was a classic and what many remember him by. R.I.P. Cliff. :(

Ya know, that's what The Eagles said, too! (and perhaps Mr. Big). Definitely not a denial... :)

When I was a kid I saw a lot of grown-up movies at the theater...I was 8 when I saw this movie and remember how I cried...I have the DVD, too. Well-deserved Oscar.

Yeah, but the Eagles are all American. They didn't have to deal with anyone from Italy.
