Do you guys realize that Neal is gonna be on every gossip channel and tabloid for the next 3 weeks? Neal Schon
will now become a household name. Journey and Steve Perry were always household names, but Neal....not so much.

This could very well be an engineered publicity stunt. Smart on Neal, if so. :lol:

You do know the FBI is now involved in this? I certainly hope Schon didn't have a part in whatever this actually turns out to be!

When it was mentioned on the news here in Cleveland, they just referred to him as "Journey's guitarist." No mention of his name. But yeah, I'm sure his name will be mentioned on a lot of channels. Now maybe non-Journey fans will finally find out how to pronounce his last name?

Also, the Salahi's did not pay some of the vendors at the event and the vendors sued the charity that whe whole thing was for.

It is not the same charity.

The Salahis made up some bogus deal called Journey FOR the Cure. See p. 5 of the Washington Post article linked earlier in the thread.

Journey TO the Cure is legit, is still up and running, and is supporting students and cancer research thanks to the extremely hard work of Dr. Valerie Goldfain, Lydia Augeri, and a group of other dedicated board members and volunteers.

My, my. Salahi just said he and Michaele were at a Journey concert two weeks ago and Ava was there and he believed her to be Neal's wife. Maybe Ava walked out on him and she stepped in. You know Neal can't be alone.

It was also on The View today as a Hot Topic and on Regis & Kelly. But Kelly thinks the Salahis are up to something for publicity.

NS used to say he loved Beale St in Memphis. (I think he even proposed to one of his wives there.) I wonder if anyone has any candid pics from the street after last night's gig?

Btw, not sure about the household name thing yet. CNN/HLN this morning said "Journey's guitarist". Never said his name. I was waiting for Robin Meade to make a personal comment. He once did a spot on the morning news with her. He was demo'ing a new rig/guitar connector, and she sang 'Lights', I think.

Danny and I did not think to take photos of Beale St. we have been there so often, it was just around the corner from the Fed Ex Forum. Matter of fact, we had to go down Beale for a block to walk to the Forum entrance from where we parked.
