Dan, Ginger, Rip - we'll want comprehensive, individual reviews!

Stumbled on this. At the 7:45 mark, Neal gives out another PRS to a young girl. Very cool moment!
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

As a lady I will let Dan and Rip go first. Seriously was a wonderful night. Laughs all around, and I feel I made the start of some great friendships. What can be more wonderful than an new friend? Dan, I truly enjoyed meeting you. I am glad I had those extra tickets and backstage passes to share with you and Susan aka Mrs. Rip. Special thanks goes to the person who kindly gave me the 4 tickets and passes. I will thank that lovely lady later today.

Dan you want funny, I was told Jon was expecting to meet me last night. I have some explaining to do! LOL

I will start a part of it. My Dan, (Comedyisnotpretty), we will refer to from now on to avoid confusion as Danny.

Danny and I were walking up to the will call to receive our tickets and meet Dan and Susan. I had a two layered shirt on, one with a print and the under layer which is brown. I looked down after spotting our friends and noticed the first layer had curled up and I thought Ahhhhhh! and pulled it down real quick.
After initial hugs and hellos, I went to will call, expecting to just get my tickets. The lady looks over the list and says wait a minute. She was gone a little while..........I am thinking, I hope they did not lose the tickets! Here I would be with two friends I promised seats to and no tickets, especially after they drove so far on a promise from me! I thought at least find the tickets if not the passes!
After a while, the lady comes back and she has a square envelope.
I opened it up and to my relief the 4 tickets and backstage passes were there. the passes had JC 8:00 meet and greet on them. (Guests of Jon) I breathed a sigh of relief. The person who gave the tickets to me was reliable, I was just afraid the ticket booth would have screwed up.

We went inside, and found our seats, they were the fifteenth row center. Great seats.

This is all I am telling for now. I cannot think of three people I would have rather spent the evening at a Journey concert with. What great company we were blessed with that night.

That is so funny, cause I didn't know that everything would be separated into different groups - thought we'd all be together! Saint J. sent me a text that y'all were having difficulties finding the location, so when I didn't see you a rescue effort was mobilized, lol! Those guys are as organized and efficient as the Secret Service! When you told me you only saw Jon for about 30 seconds, I thought you meant he just popped in, waved, and headed and back out, hahahaha! Anyway, apologies again for the confusion and for having you abducted. :)

It was awesome hanging out with you both after the show. We did have a non-stop adventure that night, and can't wait to hear Saint John's story in full, unrated Saint John fashion when he returns. It must include, but not be limited to:

1. The 10-person fistfight that happened right at his feet (and that he filmed a good portion of).
2. The parking debacle, and the mystery of the garage with the missing floor.
3. Being attacked by a homeless bag lady after midnight in da hood!
4. Being able to hear your car but not get to it - did that illicit feelings of frustration?

BTW, last night I was truly grateful for what could only have been explained by good 'ol racial profiling. I committed so many egregious traffic sins last night in FULL VIEW of police officers without a single hassle, it was nothing short of a miracle. The last one, I even had Saint John and several people pedestrians shouting at me right by two parked squad cars -- that wouldn't pass anywhere else, but in Memphis, it was just midnight on Beale St!

Then an old friend of mine had a dude snatch $30 out of her hand and make a run for it, and something like 5 cops piled on the guy while she was filming it.

Incorrect. This is good policing. They don't care about the victimless crimes (i.e. bad driving) and they are not revenuers like most police departments either (especially when it comes to driving infractions). When there is a true crime - theft/stealing, they jump into action, which police should do. These are good cops. Real cops. Race has nothing to do with it. Stealing and running is a legit crime, driving and breaking a few rules (although technically illegal) is not hurting anyone. One will get you arrested the other a slap on the wrist - ticket.

I would like to slap Neal. No Resonate, an overwhelming favorite. What is wrong with them? If EOTM isn't going over great, Resonate or AIP would be amazing in place of it. A ballad the third song on their most supposed hard rocking year? Talk about loss of momentum in the beginning of a show for a headliner. Sigh.

I want AIP and Resonate in the setlist.

C'mon folks, it's obvious... Neal's new main squeeze-of-the-day, Michaele Salahi, obviously likes EOTM better than Resonate!!!

Include a couple of more in that - Saint John and I discussed Resonate yesterday and he thought AIP would be good too to support radio play. I had the chance to talk to Neal last night and made the request to put Resonate back in the mix, and he sounded quite open to the idea. He looked at AP with a little shrug and said maybe they could exchange it for EOTM, but I told him I loved that song, too. Sounded like they only stopped playing it out of concern for the tempo -- I just let him know that when Faith20yrs and I saw it that first time in Vegas, we both looked at each other and said it was the best new Journey song we'd heard in a long time. Hey, we were impressed, so as far as I'm concerned, that means everyone should be. :) So who knows? Maybe they'll add Resonate back soon. Hope so, and hope it's before Dallas and Houston! :)

I know the guys are probably about as tired as I am. I had to get up at 8:00 this morning and take Danny to work and never went back to bed. I am sure it was a longer haul for Rip and Dan. Did you guys ever sleep today?

The show was great. I was surprised to see they played When you love a Woman, and La Do Da. Ross was in rare form with the facial contortions. (Wonder if his momma ever told him that if he made faces that it would freeze like that) LOL Jon played the juice harp.

The guy from Foreigner ran around the center floor right into the audience, that was so cool.

It snowed...............confetti, lots of it! That was so beautiful. The Fed Ex is a tall building so when you looked up you saw vast darkness and white confetti. It was like watching a beautiful snow storm.

The night was quite romantic, Danny and I had a wonderful time.

I think the funniest stuff happened during and after the show.

Rip took a wrong turn on a trolly only road, thank goodness they had stopped running for the night!  To his defense though it is easy to do that in Memphis. Their are one way streets......and sometimes you get turned around easy in that place.

There was this gal dancing kitty cornered to us. She was having almost too good of a time, I think Dan said it best that they needed a pole. She had a girlfriend dirty dancing with her.

There was this guy to the left of Dan I will call him happy dancer.........LOL   He was all over the isles dancing and falling all over the place. I asked Dan if he was going to join him.

I have to say the funniest thing was seeing Dan standing next to Arnel. It looked like the Jolly Green Giant meets the Hobbit. LOL I am not saying that to be mean, Arnel is taller than me. But next to each other their was a great deal of difference in heights. I think I come up to Dan's ankle. Lol

Two very handsome men indeed. :D

Corrupted how? I was given the tickets as a gift to share with whom I pleased. There was nothing corrupt about it. Maybe sour grapes on your part? LOL
