Journey to the Cure

To Whom It May Concern:

I am the President of Journey to the Cure and have been since its inception in 2004. To clear up some confusion....we have ABSOLUTELY no afffiliation or relationship whatsoever to an alledged organization called Journey for the Cure.

Our organization's website is at www.journeytothecure.com. We donate 100% of our profits to breast cancer patients and their families. All annual financial reports that are submitted to the Illinois Attorney General can be found on their website at: illinoisattorneygeneral.gov and clicking on their "Building Better Charities" link and then searching for Journey TO the Cure.

I can vouch 100% for our charity and its integrity. I know nothing about the organization called Journey FOR the Cure, nor can I vouch for it in any way. That charity was formed by Ms Salahi and has no relationship to us.

Both Journey and Steve Augeri have donated to our charity and helped us raise funds, all of which are used for our charitable purposes. Mrs Steve Augeri has been a Board of Director member since 2004 and continues to do so. Both her and Steve are wonderful people with extremely giving generous hearts and they not only help our organization but they tirelessly raise funds for many other organizations as well, including the American Cancer Society, the homeless in New York, babies born with facial defects, to name a few. They have NEVER associated with Ms Salahi in any fundraising efforts on behalf of her organization Journey FOR the Cure, which alledgedly donates money to leukemia. More information on Ms Salahi and her charities can be found on wikipedia.org.

I hope this clears up any confusion and if there are any questions, I would be happy to answer them. And I also want to take this opportunity to again thank all of our supporters, the Augeris, our other Board of Director members and the present members of Journey for their support.

Valerie Golfain, M.D., President Journey TO the Cure

Thanks, Val for clearing that up.

I know both Lydia and Steve have been involved heavily in Journey to the Cure.

They have also been involved in several other charities and I believe Steve was involved with Project Smile to help children with severe dental issues.

Journey on!
