2011-2012 NFL Season Thread

Well we get to see what this Titans team is made of tomorrow when we face the Ravens.At this moment i don't think the Titans have it all together yet and they didn't look good at all last week.Still shaking a lot of rust and i expect the Ravens to win it pretty easily.

I took a long bus trip in 2008 for the Ravens/Titans playoff game in 2008. Nicest fans I have ever met at an away game were in Nashville.

Philly, Oakland are the worst. Our two fan bases aren't very hospitable either. :lol:

Nashville fans hated my team when I was there but friendly people. They'd trash Ray Lewis while telling you it's nothing personal and buying you a beer. That's the way it SHOULD be. Some fans think they play for the team they route for and can't separate the two.

Kansas City at Detroit - I continue to love what Detroit is doing. It's going to be really tough for the Chiefs to start 0-2, so they really need this game. Detroit by 10.

Oakland at Buffalo -Buffalo isn't nearly as good as they showed last week, but I'm not buying it. Oakland by 7.

Tampa Bay at Minnesota - An even matchup between two mediocre teams. Minnesota by 3.

Chicago at New Orleans - Offense against Defense. I just think New Orleans has too much firepower...even for Chicago's defense. Saints by 17.

Baltimore at Tennessee - Baltimore is simply a much better team. Ravens by 13.

Cleveland at Indianapolis - Browns by 3.

Jacksonville at NY Jets - The Foot Fetish King always seems to find a way to win. Jets by 10.

Seattle at Pittsburgh - Zero chance the Steelers are going 0-2 and losing to Pete the Poodle. Ben throws to the right color jersey this week and the Steelers win by 20.

Arizona at Washington - Cardinals by 7.

Green Bay at Carolina - Cam Newton comes back down to Earth in a big way today. Green Bay by 17.

Dallas at San Francisco - Even Tony Romo can't piss this one away. Then again, if Jerry Jones keeps applauding him after puking on his cleats, maybe he can. Cowgirls by 10.

San Diego at New England - This is a really bad matchup for the Patriots on a lot of levels. That said, Norv Turner always seems to find a way to lose. Patriots by 3.

Houston at Miami - Maybe this is the season that Houston finally gets it together. Texans by 10.

Cincinnati at Denver - The Bengals beat the Browns last week and I'm not convinced that the Broncos are much better. That said, I do think they're a bit better and beat the Bengals by a TD.

Philadelphia at Atlanta - Atlanta was ridiclously disappointing last week. Matt Ryan sucks on the road, but is almost perfect at home. Add into it Vick's homecoming, and it should be an interesting game. Falcons by 7.

St. Louis at NY Giants - Giants by 14

Week 2 may be the hardest to pick. These games are very tough for me. You don't know how teams will respond, nor will you know what teams decided to gag and in between.

Oakland Raiders @ Buffalo Bills- I got burned on my Buffalo pick last week and this week, Buffalo is playing at home against a very beatable Oakland team so with Fitzpatrick maiming offense's dating back to last season and Buffalo being a good all around football team who can actually win and put it together, I like the Bills at home by 6.

Chicago Bears @ New Orleans Saints- The Bears are one of those teams that could gag this week. New Orleans is going to pressure Cutler regardless, something a very inept Falcons team couldn't do so I expect Brees to rebound after a loss in this one, at home. Saints by 13.

Cleveland Browns @ Indianapolis Colts: No Manning, no W's. That's just the way it seems, even against the bad news Browns. McCoy is a winner. Browns by 10.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Detroit Lions- I was on record on saying the Chiefs overachieved last season and I think they are a team that won't win many this season, especially a Chargers team playing solid breathing down the neck of the West. We all know about Detroit, they are well on their way up. Lions by 14.

Green Bay Packers @ Carolina Panthers: This isn't a pee-wee defense the Cardinals decided to show last week. Newton needs knocked down a peg. Rodgers will be a monster. Pack by 20.

Baltimore Ravens @ Tennessee Titans- Trap game that I think Baltimore gets out of. Look for C.J to break one but Baltimore may be TOO much for a Titans team still trying to gel. Ravens by 14.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Minnesota Vikings- If Tampa wants to contend in the South, and if Freeman is good than everyone says, they need this one on the road. Bucs by 6.

Jags @ Jets- Jacksonville is in a league lower than the pro's right now. Jets shouldn't have any problem at home coming off of a very confident comeback win. Jets by 13.

Arizona Cardinals @ Washington Redskins- I don't know about you, but Grossman was on point for the Redskins last week and that Cardinals defense looks like it's going to be sliced and diced regardless who's in at QB. I like Washington, who's better on defense all around playing at home. 'Skins by 7.

Seahawks @ Steelers: If Pittsburgh doesn't win by 3 TD's, then that's a problem. Steelers by 21.

Dallas Cowboys @ San Francisco 49'ers: I think the 'Boys are better than what people expect and should handle a 9'ers team still searching for a lot of answers. Cowboys by 14.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Denver Broncos: This is the last chance for Denver. Cincinnati going on the road against a team that needs to prove something could have problems givin' how young they are. Denver by 6.

Houston Texans @ Miami Dolphins- Intriguing matchup. I think Houston keeps hot. This is their year to win the AFC SOUTH and they are all in. Texans by 13.

San Diego Chargers @ New England Patriots- Could be an offensive juggernaut of a game yet again. Rivers seems to never win at Foxbourgh and Brady flourish's in shootouts. Until someone can take down N.E, Brady will make you pay. Pats by 8.

Eagles @ Falcons- If Atlanta loses this one, they could be in trouble. The Rams stayed toe to toe with the Eagles last week for the most part so the Falcons need this one very badly to say last week was a fluke. Ryan is unbeatable at home. Falcons by 7.

St.Louis Rams @ N.Y Giants- Giants respond at the Meadowlands. Coughin seems to be in the hot-seat every season and the Rams struggle on the road. N.Y is a tough place to play. Giants by 6.

So far, I'm on the money. 9-1 thus far in the first games. I KNEW Tennessee was a trap game for Balty but went with Balty to overcome it and they didn't. could of went 10-0 in the first half. Winning lots of money this week. Last week was ugly.

Teams are completely focused on CJ and thats allowed Matt Hasselbeck to throw to Kenny Britt.

So what came first, the garbage time or the picks? If the garbage time came first, then you forgive the picks a little more, right? I mean, the Panthers were up 13-0 at one point. Promising start for Newton still I think. Whether he pans out is anyone's guess.

They're doing everything they can to keep the Chargers in this game.

I think the intimidation makes up for some of the less than favorable outcomes on 4th down. The dude just makes you play on your heels, always a bit scared.

Personally, and this is just my opinion....holding that is nowhere near the play should be ignored. The ball wasn't even being thrown to Bodden's man....and as far as that other PI call, the SD WR hooked the NE player's arm...but of course they call it on NE. And the roughing call on Rivers was bogus. That was a textbook tackle. But going after Brady's leg needed to be called.

Ben got his knee about snapped today, same way Brady went down. Got the call. Then there was a second time to where a Seahawk player legitimately dove intentionally at Ben's knee's, no call. They got to protect better with knee shots. I don't agree on that personal foul on Rivers, that was a beautiful tackle but welcome to what the Steelers have been going through all last season. It was a nice hit but unfortunately, Goodell is a vag and being drivin' into the ground will be called every time.

Yeah, I'm not talking about that one. Gilbert defiantly leg whipped when Ben got his knee bent. I'm mainly talking 3-4 plays after to where a Seahawks player dove intentionally at Ben's knee's with no call, it was as intentional as it comes.

With Manning in the lineup, I could potentially see the Colts grabbing the W, but unfortunately for the Colts, their without their lead dawg. I'd like to see the Steelers offense on a fast track. Their young and speedy recievers are incredible on the outsides. They want to break one every time they touch the ball. I don't see Collins scoring more than 13 points at best against Pittsburgh but yet again, the Steelers come out slow on the road in domes.

At this point, the Colts are playing for a very high draft pick, and that's about it. Pittsburgh will run them off the field. They're simply not a good team, at all.

Holy shit, is this embarrassing for Atlanta. How they have 21 points I just don't know. Maybe some sort of GENIUS on the Falcons coaching staff will help out that left side of the line to double team Cole.

And Dunta CLEARLY launched with his helmet. Almost the EXACT same head to head shot he put on Jackson last season.
