W.E.T. replaces Warrant at Firefest!

Postby Deb » Sun Sep 18, 2011 4:18 pm

Damn, this is one year wish I was going to Firefest! :) Sure hope some video comes out of it! 8)

http://www.thefirefest.com/index.php

For the first time playing live ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD is ..... W.E.T. Jeff Scott Soto, Eric Martenson and Robert Sall released one of the best selling albums of 2009 within the melodic rock genre. Loaded full of melodic hard rockin’ anthems such as ‘Brothers in Arms’ ‘Invincible’ and ‘One Love’, W.E.T. have been on almost every wish list sent to Firefest over the past three years. Firefest would like to publically thank all the guys in the band for literally dropping everything and offering to jump on board to play for us. We would also like to thank the one and only JSS for the call proving indeed that we are all ‘Brothers in Arms’. W.E.T. will play just before Strangeways in the revised schedule and most definitely are a band NOT TO BE MISSED.

I have this concept band and they are really nasty looking ladies dressed in bikinis. Imagine Heart in the 70's, but with 4 gals, not 2.
They've got this ridiculous drummer, nick named, "stink finger". He drums quite well, has stage faces and antics like Ross Valory, but occasionally sings
mimickry lines and backing vocals. They've got guitars, guitars and more guitars, but they play like nobody's business. They make nasty moves, sometimes
sliding notes, sometimes sliding guitar necks on their crotches, but the sound is just sublime.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the pride of the west, Stink Finger! "

That is the band name as well.

If Robert mason is singing, I would, that guy can sing pretty much anything, I've seen him sing journey songs with no problem (he can be a bit of a douche) but the guy has some serious pipes. He should have no problem with the Warrant catalog :D

he doesn't. I heard Warrant at M3 with Robert--he's amazing. however, he did look at me like I had dared to speak to the almighty when I ran into him at the hotel. And I was telling him that the show was great. douche. but that didn't make his performance less amazing. it's pretty lame that they jumped ship so close to the date. douches.

Mr. Penis, this is a wet panty fest, all festered by JSS, not Warrant. I will not be there, as I am not interested in women who get wet panties from others than me.

Of course when you attend a Journey concert you're not too worried about all the women there with their wet panties , simply because your panties are as wet as theirs .

Likewise. I do fear they won't be able to produce the layers live. They should definitely probably pipe in backing vocals.

If the people are disappointed by Warrant not playing the fest they can ask WET to play the one good Warrant song (Cherry Pie) and that'll make everyone happy.

Well, we survivied night #1 ... Crazy Deb and Sunshine are still partying with rock stars ... I've opted for soaking my feet 'cause there are two more long days ahead.

Four bands tonight ... Serpentine, Houston, Terry Brock (w/ Valentine), and Jimi Jamison (with Tommy Denander and two of the little cuties from HEAT). All terrific, though I must be getting seriously old because some of these rock stars look like they are 12. 1,000 + mad Brits and assorted international others screaming the words to Eye of the Tiger for the closer was a real kick (thought of you, Journey/Survivor :) ); my ears are still ringing. Guy beside me was from Greece; one behind me from Norway; this is such a fantastic place to be ...

Waiting on queue to make sure we get that spot on the front rail ...
