Schon has always been all about Schon. Bottom line, a below average guitarist who has never come to terms with true reason where he is at today. Without Perry's gift that put millions in his pocket, he would be playing in a bar on main street. Perry has all the crap on Journey. Journey SUCKS SO BAD. Bad vocals, bad music.

I couldn't disagree more on this part of your statement. He was asked by Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana to join their respective bands when he was a teenager. There is not one guitar player that I know of that can marry a guitar lead to a song and have it fit like a glove better than Schon. He's on most every top 50 rock guitar players list that I've read and is hugely respected by his peers. He's way above average in my books.

You said this:

"Neal and Perry were more than great together, they were from THE MUSIC LAND IN OUTER SPACE. No one can take that away."

Now it sounds like you're trying to "take that away."

No offense, but that's laughable. I literally laughed out loud when I read that part of your post. Even people who hate NS on a personal level will usually admit that he's a way above average guitarist.

Anyone see Neal on Nightline tonight?

They were doing a story about all of these trash "Reality" shows, and they mentioned the stuff that's going on right now with that woman and Neal. They didn't name Neal by name, but they said "Journey's guitarist" and showed a picture of him with that woman.

Never been overly fond of Neal's personal drama, but it is his life after all. But to the guy who said his guitar playing is not up to par..............

I have stood right in front of the man, with no barriers, and less than a foot away while he played. Average? Below Average?

His skills are undeniably phenomenal. He will have to figure out his life on his own. Meanwhile, I will enjoy the band.........Play on. :D

Perry would laugh because Neal is in the news and there are 8 or 9 people in here who think it's some massive black eye/scanadal?

I wonder if Neal's new solo album will benefit from this. I bet if he goes on Late Night, etc. to talk about the scandal he'd get to play a song or two

Neal barely played any of his good stuff on his solo tour so I doubt he would play something new on TV. He played some Piranha Blues, some Journey and a few covers when we saw him. A Prayer For Peace was the only thing he played that was memorable.
