Who cares?

I'm so sick of "WOW that guy sounds just like _____________".

I want to hear Freddie not some guy who sounds like him and that goes for all of these clones. There are people online already wanting this guy in Queen and that is beyond disrespectful. Queen toured with Paul Rodgers to purposely NOT do that.

Anyway I want to hear something fresh and new. I think I may have found it too. This may be the greatest youtube find of all!

Funny, I thought this would link to his original song. How does this disprove he's a home depot singer? Does he write his own songs? That's not a rhetorical question. So enlighten me if he does do his own stuff.

Otherwise, these guys who don't write their own shit impress me... if they're playing covers in a bar. Not replacing true rock legends.

Good, maybe really good but not spot on. There are lots of unique Freddie nuances missing that the casual fan would never pick up on. What I'm wondering is where did he get the master tape minus Freddie's lead vocals, the backing is Queen, listen to those layered vocal harmonies, its all studio. The guy can sing but that wasn't live in his bedroom imho.

Is this the Death of originality!! not only in music but movies also, I think it is. I'm lucky to have seen Queen live in the flesh at their peak a couple of times, now I realise just how lucky.

It's not scary, just lame. Enough!!!!!!

There was a time when sounding like someone too much was a liability. Let's get back to that.

I thought the same, similar features, almost looks like what Freddie would have looked like if he ever fixed his teeth, this guy sounds fantastic for Queen music. :D

Remember what grunge did to music ? well this trend will be far more damaging in regards to new music, who really wants a sound alike, not the true musician or music fan. May as well get an actor up there to mime. Freddie's teeth also gave him his unique nuances heard in his vocals much like Perry's nose did for him, now lets recreate Mona Lisa. :(

Jesus, the guy is singing a fucking song! Which one of you would not jump at the opportunity to sing like that or front a band and have that much range and control. I e been compared to many people, its a compliment, I don't give a crap, I just love what I do, if the guy gets a gig with Queen, so be it. If you dont dig it, don't buy the cd, or see the show.

It obviously doesn't bother folks that Arnel is a vocal chameleon.

Arnel is not a chameleon. Not my choice, but neither he or Kelly Hansen are that at all.

I thought that guy was very average. Also, there's a big difference between singing like he was and belting out songs in a stadium. My guess is that this guy wouldn't be all that impressive if he had to belt out the songs for a packed house. His voice sounds frail. His biggest contribution is right where it should be ... on youtube.
