Well I listened and ...
Tommy needs to move around and whip his hair a bit more,
Dennis is not dramatic enough, and wtf, is he wearing tails?!
...and the drummer is very, perhaps too, cute ...but other than that,
insert name of this band, is Incredible! Particularly Come Sail Away ,
awesome job on vox, would have loved to have heard the entire song ...
In fact, how do we know for sure that you/your band didn't just
show us the best parts and the rest wasn't awful?!?

Seriously, bry and I aren't fond of one another and I would
have been happy not loving it, but I'm not a liar so the truth
is I'd definitely spend my hard earned $$$$ to listen to
this band, probably more than once. I still can't get over CSA, goosebumps!
It just proves the old adage is true ...LS's can be assholes! :P

Please, just take the joking part in stride and don't ruin this moment, I know

Man, this is AWESOME! I'd love to see you guys live someday. Spot-on.

Your voice has gotten even better than when you sang on my last album.

Would you be interested in doing another tune together?

Hey Michael! It's the same voice! haha. Yeah, if I have enough time. I kind of dismantled some of my recording stuff, but I'd give it a go. My voice is usually better in a live setting than a recorded one. I remember when I was doing that track, I'm thinking "Crap, the neighbors can hear me!"

I appreciate everyone's comments. Dang... who da thought?

Cool! I think I have the perfect song for you. It's one with some progressive twists and an interesting subject. You'd be on the track with keyboardist Eric Ragno, drummer Rob Boshuijzen and bassist Andre Versluijs of Diesel fame (they had a billboard top 10 hit and a number 1 in Canada with the song Sausalito Summernight).

And when recording, just think of the neighbors as your live audience, I need that strong live voice on the song :)

I'll mail you soon!

No, I'm not wearing tails. It's a long jacket. I like jackets. I'm an old dude and have the
body of one, I'm not gonna be up there in spandex and a tank top. That's the kind of confidence
I don't have... and that frankly, many people shouldn't have.

Of course they're the best parts! I wouldn't put together a reel of the parts where we self combust.
It was a first gig, we needed video to get more gigs, so you pull out the best and easily recognizable parts. It's what ya do...

... yes, the rest was awful. We couldn't get out of the place fast enough. Little kids and old ladies
grabbed pitchforks and torches and chased us 75 miles home.
Here's a full tune, warts and all. I'm sure you'll have fun with it. I got terrible bronchitis the very next day, you can hear it creepin in:
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=203 ... =2&theater
It was actually a park of a few hundred people, why they all stay so far away is beyond me.
Must be my "tails".
Here's another, but it's not STYX: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MMmp3m3b4o

As far as "Dramatic enough", it's not a tribute where we play the parts. We just play the tunes.
Plus I was scared shitless- first time playing bass in front of anybody, so I was a bit reigned in.
As far as the Tommy guy whipping his hair... I could care less. As long as he can sing that great,
and is as great of a friend as he is, he can be a statue.
Drummer being too cute- Yes, we are having a band meeting next week so we can beat up
his mom for that.

Thanks for what said that was positive.

Different tastes, so it means we're supposed to hate each other.
I don't cut Perry any slack and I'm a big fan of Arnel. Big fan of
both of them, but I have more of a "Dan" attitude about Perry.
Arnel's a huge inspiration to me. She seems to hate that.

Good stuff Bry. Sounds like it'd be a GREAT time to see you guys. My girlfriend and I have been wanting to get out to Seattle for a while now. If we do, I'm gonna definitely try and plan it around one of your gigs! .

Why don't you sing Grand Illusion yourself? Kevin is listed as Gowan vocals. Do you guys do Fields of the Brave? I know you're big on that song - so am I.

There's a backstory... there on Kevin singing that song. Basiclly, we want to feature him singing and he did that in a prior Styx band, so we asked him to do it in this one. Yeah, I dig FOTB. Because we have to focus on what's most known, we don't do that one. :(
Matt, if you come up, let me know for sure!

Got audio or video of Fields of the Brave? Would love to hear.

And I'll definitely let you know. I love the west coast, and I've heard nothing but great things about the Seattle area.

EDIT: Whoops, just saw you fixed your typo from "did FOTB" to "dig FOTB." NM on the audio/video request.
