Who gives a shit about fat Ben? You in the Queen City have a damned good team. I suspect you can beat those sonsofbitches from Pittsburgh.

Damn, that didn't work out too well.

Probably more of a depth issue if anything and getting something out of nothing, like a draft pick while Houston was willing to give it up for a replacement for Johnson. It's the only thing for both teams to do at this point.

Sucks to see Williams AND Johnson go down, with Houston going up against Baltimore soon and everything! They decided to maul Pittsburgh before deciding to get hurt. Dammit, haha.

In the house Sunday at Heinz Field vs Jacksonville. I really wanted to take my girlfriend to a game over the years and we both never could because she had school and now that she's out, I have school & training. Tickets became available to me this morning and since our double-date couples had tickets in advance, we are going to jump on it and double date. This is her 2nd game, her 1st was in 2006 VS Tampa Bay, way when we were out of playoff contention so hopefully the atmosphere will be rockin!

Have fun dude. Pittsburgh romps in this one while New England rests up for a week to get ready for a visit!

He could have retired as the leading pass catcher in Ravens and Titans history. Really sad he hung on too long. He comes back to Baltimore for the 2nd time in 3 weeks to play the Ravens.

Thats the main problem with TN offense since Britt went down is weakness at WR and Hasselbeck has played quite good so far but not having some help at WR is going to be the Titans undoing because they already have issues running due to CJ's slump.

Has there even been a receiver besides Mason to be leading pass catcher on two different teams?

Packers vs Rams - The Packers are rolling. They'll eventually hit a speed bump, but it won't be against the Rams. Pack by three TD's.

Steelers vs Jaguars - Complete mismatch of a game. Pittsburgh isn't great, but Jacksonville blows. Steelers by 20.

Eagles vs Redskins - I still can't believe that the Eagles are really this bad of a football team. I never bought the hype that they were going to be an upper echelon team, but this is an embarrassing early season for this team. Eagles by 10.

Lions vs 49'ers - I love that this is a matchup between two first place teams. I like Detroit in a close game. Lions by 4.

Falcons vs Panthers - I suspect Cam Newton will throw the ball all over the place today, and it still won't be enough. Falcons by 14.

Colts vs Bengals - The Colts should keep tanking it for that first pick. The Bengals aren't that good of a team, but I think my high school team could beat the Colts at this point. Bengals in a close one by 7.

Giants vs Bills - My "Lock of the Week". Buffalo has been suprisingly (for me) consistent this season. That said, I'm just not sold on this team, at all. Many of their wins have come against the "little sisters of the poor". Giants by 10.

Texans vs Ravens - Two good teams. Baltimore has the best defense in the NFL, and the Texans always find a way to lose games like this. Ravens by 7.

Raiders vs Browns - The Raiders are simply the better team. Oakland by 13.

Patriots vs Cowboys - ***UPSET*** I've been trying to figure this one out all week. Easily the toughest pick of the week for me. Huge mismatch for the Patriots, as Dallas has REALLY good receivers and the Patriots can't cover anyone. That said, Tony Romo is the great equalizer, because he almost always figures out how to lose a game. The last time the Patriots went against Rob Ryan's defense (in Cleveland), they looked AWFUL. Now the Cowgirls are coming off a bye week with an extra week to prepare for the Patriots offense. Earlier in the week, I thought Dallas might win this game by a couple of TD's. Then an Offensive Lineman on the Cowgirls decided to start talking trash and no team in the NFL has ever thrived more on an opponent running their mouth than the Patriots do. That said, I just have no idea how the Patriots cover Austin and Dez Bryant. Cowboys in the upset by 7.

Saints vs Buccaneers - New Orleans wins this one by 14.

Bears vs Vikings - Not a great matchup for the Bears with the 28th worse rush D against Peterson. That said, it's a lousy dome team outside in Chicago. Bears by 7.

Jets vs Dolphins - Miami is a team that seems to get worse every week and the Jets absolutely MUST win this game. NY by 10.

I agree Matt. At this point, every observer of the NFL knows that EVERY scoring play is now automatically reviewed. Completely inexcusable for an NFL coach not to know that rule.

The Ravens kicker just kicked off and the ball landed in the end zone seats. What a bad rule change!

How about the Jim Harbaugh-Jim Schwartz scuffle after the game? I like the fire from both guys. I've been longing for a fiery coach here in Cleveland.

With this Shurmur guy, it seems like the Browns got someone who's not only boring, but also doesn't bring the discipline like other "boring" coaches (Belichick, Mangini etc.) to match up with the boringness. Blah. If I'm gonna have a green coach, at least gimme Mike Singletary, lol.

Lol. Watching that fucking loser Tony Romo never gets old. That might be the first time I've seen a QB throw a Hail Mary out of bounds to the sideline. Through the back of the end zone? Yes. That asshole finds new ways to prove to the sports world that he is the worst starting QB in NFL history.

I am pleasantly surprized. But it's the D that's done the job, especially today. (and we get Keith Rivers back after this bye week) Dalton and Green sure look like the future. Everyone in town is sooo gald to be rid of the primadonnas, and actually Carson to.

I think we can call Carson a prima donna too, no?

Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports the Raiders are “trying hard” to acquire Carson Palmer. Cole’s source “highly doubts” Bengals owner Mike Brown would make a move, but perhaps the Raiders could make him think with a big offer.

We’ve assumed there is no chance Palmer will be traded, and that’s probably the case. Palmer called Brown last week without making Brown budge.

Still, there is a possibility Oakland could make a generous offer.

The Raiders are 4-2 and ready to make a run to the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade. They just lost their starting quarterback, likely for the season. If any team was ever going to make an over-aggressive move including a first round pick, it’s Oakland in the next two days.

(The Raiders are already without second-, third-, and fourth-round picks in next year’s draft though.)

Other possibilities for the Raiders could include signing David Garrard or trying to trade for Kyle Orton.

I think Garrard is having surgery and could miss all this season so that's pretty much out of the picture. I think Orton can help out a good team, esp running the west coast offense like Oakland does. He has a strong arm too to push the ball downfield. We'll see what Oakland does.
