The absolute worst, gayest song of all time

Postby Seven Wishes2 » Thu Nov 03, 2011 1:03 pm

Bar none. This makes Madness' "Our House" seem like side two of "Dark Side of the Moon" by comparison.

Sorry, but even though Andrew and Perry love this song, MY vote goes to "Happy to Give".

I'm a fan of this group, and the Thompson Twins....I even like early Wham!, and ABC....never be ashamed of the music you like. I don't mind admitting it.

This song used to drive me nuts, my daughter was a huge Power Rangers nut when she was a kid, watched the show all the time and even went as the pink power ranger at least 2 Halloweens.....................LOL, little did I know until a few years ago, it's from one of my favorite vocalists. :o

Just to clarify, this post has no intention to offend people's taste in music. It's a rant regarding songs that I'm sick of hearing, and work is to blame.

The gayest songs? Just about every song that gets played on the radio at my work EVERY FREAKIN' DAY!!! And sometimes even TWICE in the same day! That's over 1600+ exposures to these songs over a span of my career! Yeah, that's gay.

Such gay songs include:

'100 Years' -- Five For Fighting
'Apologize' -- Timbaland (thankfully though, All Ends does provide a listenable metal cover version.)
'She Will Be Loved' -- Maroon 5
'You Had a Bad Day' -- Daniel Powter
...Almost every song that uses 'na' or 'la' repeatedly. Seriously, was it really THAT difficult to come up with lyrics? (and I did say 'almost every song.' Journey fans are safe; the song in question doesn't get airplay at work.)
A slew of female pop and contemporary singers (male or female.) Pretty much all of them really.

Just about anything from REO Speedwagon aside from Hi Infidelity.

Butterfly
has to be in the running for a solid top five gayest/shittiest/most fucked up song EVER. My 4 yr old could write that piece of shit. I looked at Neal one night and asked him how the hell did that shitfest of 5 minutes. His answer? "I didn't write it!" He said that as he backed up quickly, sort of wringing his hands from that garbage.

Yeah, like "Golden Country", "Like You Do", "Only The Strong Survive", "Keep Pushin'", "Ridin' The Stormout", "I Do' Wanna Know"??? All gay!

This statement is so stupid, it almost ranks up there with your political statements....Almost.

Mick.............................Alright FEllahs................Lets.......GO!

Now don't get me wrong Deb I love the song, it makes me laugh and I sing it with gusto! But looking at their costumes and by the way the official video which for some reason is hard to find again, is even more over the top! They are playing with manicans dressed in Early Victorian dress.

I don't understand how you can't like him. There's no reason for either of us to get upset about it though, because... No on is to blame.
