Noel Gallagher's "High Flying Birds" in concert

Postby AR » Sat Nov 12, 2011 4:33 pm

2,800 seat theater in Philly at capacity for the former Oasis guitarist.

9 new solo songs played from the new album. Oasis songs also played. Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger were the hits in the setlist, alongside some deeper cuts.

I'm sure plenty here aren't big fans of either of the Gallagher brothers, but I enjoyed it a lot.

No fear of playing new material at this show and most of the crowd seemed to know the new songs (I didn't, but I liked most of what I heard)

This song was dedicated to Smokin Joe Frazier "What A Life" Not the best song of the set, but the only Philly clip to surface so far since the show ended 3 hours ago.

I like his new single.

It's catchy.

And I always preferred his voice to his brother Liam's anyway.

And he's a very witty guy.
Sarcastic.
Very funny.

HE also had the "nerve" to play a song that's not out yet and a couple of B-sides.

I liked Oasis quite a bit- except for their last album which is the only one I haven't got.
I liked Liam's project too from what I heard, but I haven't bought that or Noel's album.
Not sure yet if I will.

How are these doing in Europe? Liam's project over in the states did nothing.

Beady Eye went to #3 UK, Noel's CD hit UK #1. The show in Philly drew 2,800 which I thought was a pretty impressive turnout.
