Did anyone waste their money and go see Jack and Jill this weekend? I usually like his movies to a point, but that one looked incredibly stupid.

Sandler seems to have a by the book formula for movies anymore (Love Reign Over Me the exception) where he plays a down on his luck with women guy and has to work hard to prove that he's not as big of an idiot as he appears to be until the girl finally realizes he's the right guy for her. I rented the movie he did with Jennifer Aniston over the weekend and it was like watching the new 2.5 Men, I laughed maybe twice the entire time. The Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, and Billy Madison were all good comedy movies that followed that same by the book approach except they were you know...funny.

I heard the new one was horrible. Haven't watched one of his movies in years.

Other than Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore and, uh....maybe The Longest Yard, Adam Sandler puts out possibly the worst movies in Hollywood. My opinion? I think everyone likes him by default but he's probably one of the most overrated comedian in my book. I saw "Grownups" with my girlfriend because we love Kevin James. I left that movie theater just dumbfounded on how corny it was and how that $20.00 I spent could of helped me out in my later years, at any point. What an embarrassing experience being in that theater. I felt I was 5. Sure seemed the audience was hoaxed into a toddler movie.

Clearly the best movies Sandler has ever been in have been his earlier movies. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Waterboy, and maybe Big Daddy are the best ones. I did like Bulletproof, but I would consider him being more of a supporting actor in that movie rather than the movie's star.

Good call, Yoda. Sandler has been putting out such suck lately, I forgot about Waterboy & Big Daddy. Those two were good as well.

Yeah, Adam Sandler is just NOT funny anymore. A lot of these guys, outside of SNL, just can't make it.
Used to think Sandler was hilarious. Now I can barely tolerate him.

Did either of you see Reign Over Me? I thought that was pretty good.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sandler in more movies like Bulletproof. I had high expectations for Grown Ups and while I didn't hate the movie, it definitely wasn't as good as I hoped. You guys need to see Horrible Bosses though. That movie rocks! And Jennifer Aniston is still a sex kitten! :D

I wasn't ready to hear her talk like that in that movie. I was like

I think I did. I remember a couple of friends renting it and I came over to watch on New Years Eve a few years ago (wasn't out partying it up!) It wasn't a bad movie, but just when I think of Sandler, I think of SNL type of comedy and that's what I want from him.

HOLY COW!!! I know what you mean Rick! My fiancee' and I don't usually watch movies with a lot of language in them, and I wasn't expecting this one to be like that! But, it was kind of hard for me to pat attention to what she was saying when she was only wearing that lab coat and panties! I kept thinking to myself (because I couldn't say it since my gf was watching it with me) "please lab coat, get hung on something and fall off! Unleash the puppies!"

I just watched Horrible boss's. The movie was as horrible as the boss's, wish I had that 1 and half of my life back. The only good part was almost seeing Anniston totally nude.

I thought Little Nicky sucked and if it wasn't for Jack Nicholson Anger Management would've sucked as well.

I did like Click. His more recent movies have been really shitty though for the most part.

Dang too bad about "Jack & Jill", but I did think "Spanglish" was a very sweet and well made movie!

I saw Jack and Jill this weekend and thought it was HILARIOUS. I am, however, in the 3% minority apparently that liked this movie.

I'm a huge Pacino fan, and it was worth the price of admission alone to see him quoting Godfather in a phone conversation about a Dunkin Donuts commercial, LOL.

Hubby Bub and I watched that one last night and I turned it off after 40 mins.
It was awful.
In certain movies swearing is entertaining but here it just hurt my head.
