Not even close, dude. The AFC is sooooo wide open that nobody on the planet can tell you who the best team in the conference is, let alone the second best team. Baltimore is currently a 5 seed in the conference with Buffalo, Oakland, and Tennessee behind them. Having those three teams "chase" you shouldn't scare anyone! Not to mention, Baltimore doesn't exactly have a "murderer's row" schedule for the remainder of the season, with cupcakes like Cleveland twice, Indy, the under-performing Chargers, and Bengals again. I wouldn't worry...even a little!

They may have takin themselves out of it with that flea-flicker attempt. Could of been disaster. Bengals still a tough team regardless. Much improved.

Rex Ryan to be fined 75K for shouting profanity at fan.

http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_ ... ource-says

The NFL is expected to fine New York Jets coach Rex Ryan between $75,000 and $100,000 for using profane language to a fan at halftime of last Sunday night's game against the New England Patriots, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell still wants to review the facts of the incident one more time before rendering a final verdict, but the fine will come in north of the $50,000 the Jets fined Ryan when he made an obscene gesture to fans at a mixed martial arts event in Miami during Super Bowl week in 2010 and will be at least $75,000.

Ryan's brief exchange with the fan was caught on video and was making the rounds last week on the Internet.

"Hey, Rex, Belichick is better than you," the fan screamed to Ryan, who was walking off the field and into the locker room tunnel with the rest of the team at MetLife Stadium.

"Shut the f--- up," Ryan yelled back to the fan, who isn't seen in the video.

Ryan apologized last Monday.

"I was emotional, it was an emotional time," Ryan said. "I obviously made a mistake. I was full of emotion and just popped off. Obviously, I know I represent the National Football League, I know I represent the Jets, and I know it was a mistake. I apologize for it.

"This is who I am ... I'm about as big a competitor as there is and, at that time, I was in no mood to hear anything, but I also understand I have to handle that better."
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Sloppy shit play by both teams the last 3 minutes of the 3rd. Balti takes advantage of stupid mistakes.

Rookies will be rookies but nice bomb on 3rd down. This Cinci team doesn't quit.

GB will not repeat this year. They give up too many points. Their offense is great but something's bound to give one of these games and you can count on the defense giving up points to just about anybody. Hell, they even spotted the Orton Broncos over 20 points in week 3 or 4 if I remember right.

Woulda been better off not taking the grounding call and just calling a timeout after the sack. Too bad for you guys they didn't call Reed's horsecollar.

Dalton is one or two stupid mistakes away from beating the Ravens & Steelers. Rookies will make those, especially against defense's like the last two he saw. Missed hoarse-collar on that intentional grounding though. Great game.

Hard to imagine after watching that game that the Bungs rang up 478 total yards to the Ravens 378.

Not hard to imagine it when they have back to back turnovers, one Baltimore cashed in on for 14 points in 1:34. Lose that turnover battle, especially in the 4th QRT (same as last week, 2 INT's for Dalton) then the end result is so close but yet, so far.

I'm just picking bold. Got to go out on more limbs. I'm also in some polls, pots about 150$ every week and the upsets just need to be had. I can only lose about, one more to have a chance this week. 3-4 losses usually take it. One week a chick won it. Had no idea about football. She had the Rams over the Saints! I've been going more upsets than usual because you know it's coming. The hard part is actually picking who, when and where

The DB position leaves alot to be desired in the current NFL...DBs continue to put their backs to the QB, and are consistently burned....TURN AROUND!

Damn, no idea it was a competition  I barely even pay attention to who John picks. Why doesn't everyone pick the games? That's what this thread is for anyhow. I pick bold mainly for the poll I'm in and go mainly for a couple out of nowhere upsets since I've lost 2-3 pots going up against people with upsets like Rams over Saints, haha. Who had Tebow over the Jets? Upsets are just crazy this year. Both my upset picks were within 7 points of each other. Had Minny at home (Peterson went out) and Cinci. Also have S.D over Chicago on the road.

What do we win? Me and John have been picking these games since we've started these threads yearly. All we do is pick who we think will win. Fact Finder started "keeping score" his own merit, haha. I'm in an ESPN Pick-em anyhow with about, 20 other people. ESPN tallies all your win's and loss's up for you. FF has to go back and count every game when all we got to do is get in a little M.R league and ESPN will automate it, haha. Anyway, thanks for doing that anyhow FF, that has to be a pain in the ass

NE is implementing their new 'Tampon' defense.....only works for one period, and doesn't have a second string.

Maybe, but he's not the story for me. Gronkowski in an absolute BEAST and impossible to cover. It's almost not fair to a defender to have to cover a guy as huge as that guy is who can run and catch the football. Give this guy another two years of playing like this, and the Tony Gonzalez comparisons will be heard all over, except Gronk is a hell of a lot bigger and a whole lot tougher to cover and tackle.

Triple Gronk, double-team Welker and rush 4 and play zone behind the rush. Only way to stop N.E when their hot if you don't have the personal to play press. Their lucky they played Palko tonight though. Any decent QB would of atleast kept their team in the game.

Top 10 going into Week 12.

1. Green Bay Packers
---------------------------

2. San Francisco 49'ers
3. Houston Texans
4. Pittsburgh Steelers
5. New England Patriots
6. Chicago Bears
7. New Orleans Saints
8. Detroit Lions
9. Baltimore Ravens
10. Dallas Cowboys
