Offense couldn't do jack....

SF: converted 17% on 3rd down
BAL: converted 47% on 3rd down

SF: penalties 7-97 yds
BAL: penalties 3-20 yds

You can win a game 3-0...so I wouldn't blame the offense.

dude... go back to school and take a reading comprehension course...

My 1st line said "SF got outplayed on defense... "

Not blaming the 9er offense at all... I was commenting on the Ravens defense... playing BETTER...

Sure looked like he made contact on all 5 of the replays that I saw. Regardless of whether or not he made contact, Matt is absolutely right. Suh is a complete jackass to do what he did and get himself thrown out of a game that his team is being dominated in. Dude seriously needs to learn how to play NFL football. The guy should be suspended for his intent alone.

A Profootballtalk commenter said it best after Suh's half-assed apology:

Suh sounds like the dude that beats his girl and keeps telling her he won’t do it again. Until he finally beats her to death. What a loser. I have lost so much respect for him and the lions orginization. They need to get a clue what sportsmanship and class r. anyone on suh’s side on this is just as classless.

I agree with the assessment. Suh needs a huge public relations lesson. To say that if he really wanted to hurt the guy, he would of was ridiculous. He tried to make it all sound incidental, completely forgetting to mention the fact that he also (blatantly) drove the guy's head into the turf. Complete douche of a player who someone needs to run the fuck over.

Harrison got a 5 game suspension for his stomp... Suh is likely getting that at a minimum...

Houston at Jacksonville - Houston begins the Matt Leinart era and Andre Johnson is coming back. I think I'm in the minority in that I think Leinart is probably going to play better than most think he will. Texans by 7.

Buffalo at NY Jets - On paper, this game is a "pick 'em". I'm not buying it. The Jets still think they're alive for the playoffs, and they win this one. Jets by 10.

Cleveland at Cincinnati - The Bengals couldn't be any happier coming off of two straight losses against the AFC North Iron. Luckily for them, they now have the Girl Scouts on the schedule. Bengals by 10.

Minnesota at Atlanta - No Adrian Peterson for Minnesota means any potential offense they had is gone. Falcons by 14.

Arizona at St. Louis - Look out. We have a "showdown" in the NFC West. Let's see...sucky versus suckier. Cardinals by 3.

Carolina at Indianapolis - This could actually be a game the embarrassing Colts could win. They have a two game lead and are a lock for the number one pick this season, so winning one won't damage their chances. That said, I still can't see the Colts beating anyone, given how awful they've been. Panthers by 3.

Tampa Bay at Tennessee - Two middle of the road, evenly matched teams. Titans by 7.

Chicago at Oakland - I suspect that Chicago is going to have some trouble getting their offense going with Cutler sidelined. Chicago still plays very sound defense, but I see their winning streak coming to an end. Raiders by 7.

Washington at Seattle - Impossible game to pick between two teams going nowhere fast. I'll give the Seahawk a slight advantage with the home field. Seattle by 3.

Denver at San Diego - Denver is the hot team. San Diego Blows. Tebow is Jesus reincarnated and on his way to the Hall of Fame. Oh, wait a minute...Chargers by 17.

New England at Philadelphia - New England's secondary simply isn't good enough to cover any of the Eagles skilled receivers. The Eagles have a very good secondary. This game is simply a bad matchup for the Patriots. Philly should be done for the season, but not so fast. That win over the Giants set them up nicely. They get to play the Seahawks on Thursday night. Eagles by 7.

Pittsburgh at Kansas City - Tyler Fucking Palko against the Steelers defense is all you need to know. Hell, that team managed only 3 points against the Patriots defense! This couldn't be an easier matchup for the Steelers. Steelers by 24.

NY Giants at New Orleans - The Giants continue to have a brutal schedule. They've lost two straight and absolutely MUST win this game. I just don't see the Giants matching up well against the Saints and scoring enough points to stay in the game. Saints by 10.

Houston at Jacksonville - Leinart gets the start and has the fate of the Texans of 2011 right in his hands. With Vince Young back in the NFL picture, it's only fitting to see Lienart back givin their history. At the end of the day, Houston can beat you so many more ways than a team like Jacksonville can and that's why I think Leinart starts off in the win column. Houston will simply manage the game and let Foster and Johnson determine things. Texans by 6. 16-10.

Buffalo at NY Jets - The Jets need to wash that STANK out of their mouth and that has Tim Tebow written all over it. With the plummeting Bills coming into town, the Jets need to pounce early and often to get back to being respected atleast for one week. Jets by 10. 17-7.

Cleveland at Cincinnati - With the way both teams are playing, Cleveland is primed for an upset but they are as stale as any football team at the moment. They seriously have no life while Cincy will look to keep it interesting for a big showdown next week in Pittsburgh. Bengals by 7. 21-14

Minnesota at Atlanta - I picked the Vikings over the Raiders last week as an upset all because of Adrian Peterson. He ended up getting hurt and is axed for this one. Matt Ice will throw for 3 TD's. Falcons by 21. 31-10

Arizona at St. Louis - Larry Fitzgerald. Cardinals by 10. 24-14

Carolina at Indianapolis - Cam Newton remains a pleasant surprise. Don't pay attention to the "L's" on the Panthers schedule. They are a tough team who battles and battles hard. They can put up some points and show promise. Not so much for the Colts. They are as dead as their corpse of a head coach. Panthers by 14. 30-17

Tampa Bay at Tennessee - One of the tough picks for me this week. Tennessee at home is enticing but I like Josh Freeman and Blunt for being big boys who can knock you around and remain in the game. Physical team will win this one and I think Tampa Bay out muscles the Titans. Tampa Bay by 3. 23-20

Chicago at Oakland - Oakland is a joker at this point in time. The AFC West plays in their hands and Palmer is getting more comfortable by the week. With the Bears down a man at QB, this is usually the game to where they go all in and ask for the defense to win it. On the road, in the Black Hole though, it'll be tough for a new QB to manage the game. Raiders by 10. 23-13

Washington at Seattle - Washington hung in there against Dallas and showed signs of good football only when Grossman is in the lineup. Washington by 7. 28-21

Denver at San Diego - Please let this end. Chargers by 17. 34-17

New England at Philadelphia - I flip flopped this game many times. I really don't like this matchup against New England whatsoever. On paper, I don't see them winning too many battles and matchups. Who's going to cover Desean Jackson? Not sure if New England is capable of putting anybody on him and also worrying about McCoy in the backfield to contend with. It's going to have to take a Eagles meltdown of Palko-like proportions, mainly from Young to slow the Eagles offense down. Young just has that knack to win and can make big plays while the Philly defense is starting to show up. Eagles by 6. 27-21

Pittsburgh at Kansas City - I've seen this script before. Every time the Steelers are supposed to crush a team, they get in their own way. They should take care of business quite easily, but Arrowhead will be jacked up as always and make it tough for the Steelers in Prime Time, just like Indianapolis did. The Steelers always get everyone's best effort. Steelers by 14. 28-14

NY Giants at New Orleans - The Giants put on a snoozer last week. So bad that all that "elite" Eli talk seemed way too premature. The Saints are poised to contend in the overall NFC picture while the Giants are on their annual slide late in the season. Saints by 8. 28-20

I call them as I see them. I may be a Patriots fan, but this isn't the first week I've predicted them to lose. I said last week that they'll probably lose 2 games (max) the rest of the season and that this would be one of them. Miami could be the other one, as Miami always plays the Patriots tough. If I'm being honest, this is a VERY bad matchup for the Patriots, and the Eagles are as desperate as desperate gets...not a good combination. The Eagles have things set up VERY nicely for them in what is turning into a mediocre NFC East if they can beat the Patriots and Seahawks on Thursday night. I'll honestly be stunned if the Patriots win this game.

Shocking prediction. Have you ever once predicted the Patriots would lose a game? Hell, I lived through a whole lot of 1-15, 2-14, and 3-16 seasons growing up a Patriots fan. To hear you tell the story, they've never lost a game in the history of the franchise (without the officials having "the fix" in against them).

Am I crazy in thinking that Julio Jones who's home against the Vikings is a hell of a lot better start than Santonio Holmes is at home against the Bills?

Matt Ryan > Mark Sanchez is quite an understatement.

Then they have Fitzgerald at #7? With some no-name guy at QB who played horrible last week.
What the hell are these guys thinking?

It great to talk about...but...you can't do that without taking GB or Indy out of their respective divisions as well can you?

Well if you take GB's 11-0 from the North, you still get a division with a 16-15 record, and that's better than 9-21. And as far as Indy, they are sucking for Luck.

I've explained this....I'm not saying they will never lose, or they can't lose....I'm just telling you I go into EVERY game expecting them to win. Especially since Bill and Brady came to town. This isn't your father's NE team, or even your adolescent team. Tony Eason isn't playing, and neither is Plunkett. Grogan isn't here now....Sam Cunningham isn't in the backfield, and Morgan isn't running fly patterns. Haven't seen Franklin's bare foot in decades, and Rod Rust is drooling somewhere....so yeah, I expect this team to win whenever they take the field.

No team wins every week dude (even though I'm beginning to think Green Bay will). By the way, it sort of still is my "abolescent" team. Dante Scarnecchia was on Ron Meyer's staff and somehow has managed to stay with the team with every coach change over the decades and even has stayed through 3 owners. Never seen anything quite like it. Dude must have a lifetime contract to be a Patriot.

I meant 28-14! Haha, I did this at 3:00 in the morning if that's an excuse  But yet, my fellow Steelers brotherin' is right. Always playing down to our competition. Back in 2009, we kind of did what the 2011 Ravens are doing. We beat the best teams in the league but lost to the worst. Last time we faced K.C was in '09, we were even up 17-7 at halftime and ended up losing in OT.

Even when the Steelers are supposed to crush a team, they keep it interesting, it's just the way they've always played teams historically with clock controlled offense but hopefully with this new offense still rising, we can keep our foot on the gas peddle. Still think K.C will give it a tough game. The X-Factor is Arrowhead+ Prime Time. Crazy stadium.

Yates is playing well, thusfar. That said, if Leinart is out for any length of time (and it looked like a collarbone or shoulder injury when he went down), this team is soooo DONE! One less team that AFC contenders need to worry about.
