Greatest hits show with Christmas songs.

I'll let you all know if it is a trainwreck or not.

Mickey is always solid. Lou is doing the best he can. Here's an article about the Christmas tour. In it, Lou says his next album will be straight forward rock, without a Christian bent.

Wow...I would LOVE to hear Gramm do "Mary, Did You Know". Great song and I think, especially in his heyday, his voice would be perfect for it. I'm also glad to hear he's still working on new music rather than resting on his laurels.

Thanks for the article! Mickey Thomas's set looks like a winner. Lou's most recent clips have shown some improvement. It will be interesting to see him again in person.

It looks like he's lost a bit of weight as well. I know he's really struggled with that since he was started on the medication he has had to take since his cancer surgery.

He's worked it into "Just Between You and Me." There's footage up on YouTube. Sounds cool.

Starts at the 4:05 mark.
Upon further listening, I'm not sure if that is "Mary, Did You Know" in this clip, but other reviews said Lou sings it during "Just Between You and Me."

Mickey Thomas is a 62 year old FREAK OF NATURE! He hit EVERY note. Got to hear him sing Jane, Sarah, We Built This City (yuck), and Fooled Around And Fell In Love. I can't say enough about how great he sounded. The crowd was a bit indifferent to him at times, but a nice set overall.

Lou Gramm was on next and opened sounding strong with Midnight Blue. He also played I Want To Know What Love Is, Mary Did You Know?/Just Between You And Me (a highlight) and Jukebox Hero - which was the first song that got anyone in the crowd to his feet when he finished. He struggled with that one hitting no real high notes. However, to prove to some A.I. fanatics out there that your perfect crooners do not matter, the group I was with LOVED it. Lou gets and A+ for effort and he absolutely still belongs on stage. He wouldn't have the stamina to be in Foreigner of course, but it was good to see him.

Eddie Money was the master of ceremonies and did his usual thing. He was good - Two Tickets To Paradise, Take Me Home Tonight, etc. Lots of jokes, one might have been funny.

There were some Christmas songs, but not too many. Not my thing, but they seemed to go over ok. All 3 came out at the end for Fooled Around and Fell in Love, Hot Blooded and Shakin'.

Show went 1 hour and 40 minutes with no intermission. Not bad, decent show and I'm glad I went. I didn't shoot video though because I was in the middle of the aisle at the Keswick Theater and cramped in my seat. I don't like disturbing others with a bright smartphone in that kind of setting.

Thanks for the review, Ed. Like Augeri, Lou's high range is essentially fried (tho SA seems to have a little more in the tank). Mickey IS a freak. Hope the new Starship album is worth the wait.

I saw Eddie once in '85 in a venue that held about 3,000...He began his show with about five songs the crowd had never heard before. With every shit song he sang, the crowd was getting ever so restless to the point they were booing him. After he had enough, he announced something to the efffect, "If you don't want me here, I can leave right now!"...Too funny. So then he starts to play his hits and the crowd settled in. One would think that by 1985 he should have known how to construct a concert set-list. I remember this show vividly because my buddy knowingly had a chunk of dog shit stuck to the bottom of his sneaker (don't ask) and he peeled it off with the bottom of a beer can, palmed it, and tried to throw it at Money, but it hit some white deadhead chick just a few rows up from us and stuck in her rasta-hair for about ten seconds before falling out and onto the floor. The woman never flinched either. I laughed for about a half-hour straight. ...i think some pee came out too.

Not a clue. There's been very little info on this cd.

She's retired as far as I know. They have a young girl in the band on their website.

Does anyone know if 'The Burn' was played? That's probably my favorite Starship tune.

Hahahahahaha!! Clearly you haven't seen Grace lately. To say she's done being on a stage is an under-understatement.

Would you say thing about Mickey Thomas in 10 years? Mick Jagger is only five years her junior and still records. If you are saying that because she is no longer "hot," shame on you! I bet she still has an awesome voice.

Shame on me!

It's not my decision, it's hers. She paints now. She's done being a "performer."
