YES. I won't expect many posters here to even acknowledge the validity of BB as a proper musical entity — too much closed-mindedness runneth rampant in these parts — but your post is spot on. Anyone who has heard albums like Check Your Head and Intergalactic knows what's up.

GMF is already in......and if you are voting just on the Rap Pioneer basis, King Tim III(Personality Jock) was the first commercial rap release....before Sugarhill Gang and Rapper's Delight. That's one thing I'm confident in - my late 70s/80s rap music.....lol
