Hey there.... 8)

Hoping you're lurking out there; haven't seen you around these parts lately...:?

Anyway, I wanted to say "thank you" for making me aware of who Tim Tebow is.
I'm watching him with the Denver Broncos right now vs. The New England Patriots.

 Ironic: I'm FROM New England, but cheering the Broncos on because of Tebow.

I love this saying from him: "It's the will, not the skill"

AMEN, Brother! \~/

And why is that exactly?

I've been watching Football since I was 5; I KNOW the game.
Are you insinuating that I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE I'M NOT A GUY?

 Hey - I KNOW a good Player when I see one. And Tebow is that.

A thread started for praise out of Tim Tebow while his team just got gutted and lost by 18 points. There is absolutley nothing special about Tim Tebow as a quarterback. Subpar performance. Patriots 41 Broncos 23. Hilarious.

Look at the bright side. Maybe ESPN will shut their pie holes for a week about Touchdown Jesus! The coverage on this guy is fucking nauseating. Hall of Fame players don't get covered like this guy. He's been in the league for 20 minutes. Let him actually accomplish something first!

And what about...oh yeah...the other wins?

A Quarterback that can run and figure things out on a dime when he KNOWS he's about to be sacked and his Offensive Line is not helping has points in my book.

The other wins were against inept football teams putting in their own fluky effort to help Tebow along the way. He has also trailed in all of those wins, which means he never did anything GOOD before-hand. Did you not watch the first 3 QRTS in those loss's? Tebow looked like a school girl. Lets not kid ourselves. Those "other" wins came from the hands and gift of his defense. Today, his defense could NOT get it done, thus, a blowout because he simply doesn't have to ability to hang around with good teams who can score.

You mean like that 30 yard sack he took at the end of the game? That was pre-school level of intelligence for a QB to run backwards and not get rid of the football, 30 yards downfield. You actually got it all wrong. Tim Tebow CAN'T think of things on the dime. That's why they put in plays for him and him only, so he can run with the ball rather than making those decisions with his arm.

Yeah; So...? Win some; lose some....I didn't say he'd win EVERYthing.

And I don't think he's "Touchdown Jesus" or whatever.

"Men won't ask questions/directions cause they are perpetually lost...
Women ask questions..cause they know where they want to go..."

Now my dad ..told me a long time ago too..

"Men won't ask questions/directions ..cause they are perptually lost..
But women ask questions...to keep men pertually lost.."

You JUST started a thread praising Tim Tebow and thanking Scarab for introducing you to his existence. You even admitted you're from New England but cheered on the Broncos BECAUSE of Tim Tebow. Sounds exactly what the media is doing if you ask me.

If you ever peak into the NFL thread (and this is NFL related) then you would understand. A PM to Scarab probably would of been better suited! 8)

Nora, ignore the guys, if you like Tebow as a player then that is cool. I am not much of a football buff, but I do appreciate anyone standing up for their guns in a world where people who play are being busted for selling cocaine, torturing dogs, and being arrested right and left..........and yet they get praise and a slap on the wrist. But let someone be a good role model.......

By the way guys, I know plenty of girls who know stats and football as much as some of you do.

I like baseball better myself, but I can follow a football game fine without any male assistance. :D

Lets not turn this into a Religion thread again!

Look, this whole entire thread should be merged with the NFL thread. All we did was come in and simply talk football. Nora can like anyone she wants to. I think it's actually awesome to see a woman have an opinion on football.

Before everyone with a tit comes on here disgruntled and offended, I never questioned her football "knowledge" or that maybe some women around the world may have testicles and can "follow football" like males do. This is an open topic and the topic was about Tim Tebow. These are the type of response's that you're going to get.

As I said. Just look at one simple page in the NFL thread. If you're going to make such comments and praise a figure-head that's beloved by the media to the point of nausea in the midst of his team getting a whooping, then you're going to have to have tough skin.

Not stirring up the religion thread.......just commenting on the negativity about a player doing something good, being bashed more than a drug dealer and an animal abuser.

I think that's where the correlation of comprehension is lacking in this thread. I'll never question Tebow's personal personality (he's such a Saint and so nice, he has some people convinced that he IS Jesus Christ) but I will always sour on his performance on the FOOTBALL FIELD and that's all it really is about. If I wanted to comment on personality traits and worry about people being bashed for being a do-gooder for helping my poor little old Grandma across the street, I'd watch the Maury show  Off the field actions never was a debate. The negativity comes from simply watching him play the game, nothing more, nothing less. 8) You will NEVER see me say "Tim Tebow sucks so much because of how NICE of a man he is!" Just not going to happen.

I wasn't aiming the comment at you per say YoungJRNY...............I was just commenting on the fact that like it or not, the media seems to overlook the sick behaviors of some football players.

I am sorry.......I don't care how good Michael Vick was as a football player.........anyone who gets a kick out of torturing and electrocuting animals is sick. People who do those kinds of things creep me way out.

If you like his game or not that is no- never mind to me.
