Could go see this band Thursday night. Very melodic metal sounding with a powerful female vocalist. Thoughts?

Huge fan of Halestorm. Probably the best the American Rock scene has to offer right now. I saw them live, and Lzzy Hale hit every note. You won't regret seeing them.

Can't wait for the new one next year.

Definitely see these guys live if you can. I also recommend the DVD Live in Philly. One of the truly good new bands out there. With all the crap around thank fuck for that .

That would be a fun show. That woman can bring it!

They are almost sold out tomorrow night and I'd have to fly solo if I went. Weeknights are tough for me to be out with my job and family. They are from nearby at least. Already have been told I will get an opportunity to see them soon. I did get their CD today though!

Halestorm is playing in Allentown, PA on NYE. Seriously considering going. Their Heart cover is incredible. Listening to it right now.

Here's a tune I just found that Lzzy did with Shinedown, it's called Shed Some Light.

Update: Never got in to see Halestorm on Friday night. Fuckers were camping out in line at the casino since noon! Place only holds 325, and by the time I got there I was well over 600th in line. If anyone has been to Mohegan they know the Wolfs Den is a sunken bowl in the middle of the casino....surrounded by a log-type fence. So I just hung outside the fence, watching them on the big screen...I have Y&T, MSG, and Lynch Mob shows coming up anyway. No loss. lol

I saw Halestorm last year on the Taste of Chaos tour, when they were first band on stage in a lineup including Disturbed, Buck Cherry and Papa Roach. Not having heard much about them before that show, I was absolutely floored by their performance - they blew all the other bands out of the water. Lizzy Hale must have one of the most powerful voices in rock at the moment, male or female, and her brother is a powerhouse of a drummer.

I'm really looking forward to seeing them again in a couple of months, supporting Shinedown in the UK.
