It actually looks better than his publicity shots ...he
looks rested, healthy and younger ...love the hair!!

I dunno...those eyes look pretty glassy to me...

Yeah ...a touch, I suppose. But still much better than
the last publicity shots w/the spiked hair, overly made~up
face and just a skosh gaunt. I'm sure that's the look
they were going for, goth, but I'm not a fan of that look!!
He looks filled out and healthy, here.

Now we'll just have to wait for it to play out in court.

Why wait when we can start rumors that Castronovo is back on drugs?

If he is, I guess that could work as part of his defense...well, that and being Italian.

Who wouldnt....but I disagree in so far as he has a vested interest in journey...and he wouldn't be involved in so many remasters and rereleases of Perry-era Journey without having a vested interest in how the band is currently viewed. He truly cares about the Legacy left behind...but there's more:

The dirty little secret here is that Perry has been able maintain an income stream following his departure from Journey...prior to that 10 year window, he got a cut of what the dipshits did. Now, he just gets paid for all these remasters....what happens to the sales of these remasters if Nealpoleon, the fairy and the hired help drive Journey into the ditch?? Do you honestly think Perry is going to go..."yay! See I told you they'd fuck up without me!!" bullshit, that's a juvenile, myopic view. He's perfectly happy with what journey is doing right now. His music lives on and his royalty checks keep rolling in.

The problem here is that at what point do we go from 'ah they're just rock stars..they can smack around their woman a little.' to 'this is a disgusting act and Deen deserves everything he gets'....

Frankly, from my pov, any man that's enough of a cowardly scumbag to get himself arrested for spousal abuse, no matter what the level of severity...deserves his fingernails torn off with neednose pliers...and then they should be forcibly fed down his urethra. I love Dan/St John, and miss him around here, but he needs to stop defending the assholes in this band...his initial comments defending Deen were disgusting....

Journey's Greatest Hits has seen resurgence on the charts again this month. The CD is in the top 50 and the Digital download is in the top 25. Having not released anything original over the last decade, I think Perry or the old time Journey members can't ask for anything more than having at least one evergreen title out there on the charts, over 30 years after release.

Deen off the wagon? In all seriousness though, I have to go with St. John on this one. There is a gross double standard with domestic violence laws in this country. It doesn't matter who called the cops and who the guilty party is, the guy almost always gets the shaft. Although we don't have all the facts, I suspect this was just another argument and his girlfriend is a little too dramatic.

Where there's smoke theres fire, when it comes to spousal abuse cases....not many woman will call the police on a man they're with...so complaints are rarely made lightly...

Defending Deen in this case is a bit of a head scratcher...

Around 70% percent of abuse allegations are substantiated. That number jumps into the upper 80s when there has been a history of substance abuse.

Yet here, because of fandom or a few minutes spent at meet and greets, the perception seems to be that this has to automatically be the woman's fault as Deen is just too good of a guy to do something of this nature.

Hey look, we all want this to be nothing more than a false accusation but the numbers don't favor Deen. The overwhelming possibility of a bad thing having been done here by Castronovo has to realized.

I got to know this guy. He is anything but a "good guy." During my time "knowing" him, he knifed in the back, Augeri(multiple times, Soto (multiple times), and another band member whom i won't name. I hate Deen. Fuck you Deen, you make up wearing crackhead.

Comparing this to the cover up and abetting of Child rape at penn state is ludicrous.
Its not funny.

Dump her, dude, and find someone that can handle a little passion in the relationship. "Wah wah wah ... I'm calling my daddy on you, Deen."

You mean small theaters. Dude, big venues are places Journey goes to WATCH real bands perform in. They themselves play wineries and casinos. Arenas, lmao. You clowns known as Journey fans embarrass yourselves more and more each day. it's almost as bad as Deb sating Mr Big is a quality band.

They are playing in front of way more people than when they let you tag along for a second...and you didn't have that opinion then.

To find Schon's relationships silly or be disgusted over this arrest is real...but to pretend they aren't doing very well right now hurts the credibility of anything you say.

While not a bad tour by any means, the tour last year wasn't quite as successful as the 2008 one. During the 2008 tour, they sold out around 60% of their shows. This past year, the band sold about 16% of their gigs. That's quite a drop. They increased their tour dates by half but only increased their gross profit by 7%. What makes it worse is that Pineda also suffered a torn ACL out of the deal when he fell off the stage; he only started rehabbing it last month it seems so I can't imagine the band having a heavy schedule again this summer.

Dude, if you really think they "are doing well" now, then we are on completely different pages. They are not a concert beast as you would claim them to be. First off, going out in three band packages and selling out 15% of the venues? Ok dude, spin it however you wish, that is shit.

They averaged a little over 6k for the Generations Tour and were the opener on the Lippard tour. Looking at their attendance since then in 08, 09, 11 - its much better (Don is right in '08 it was the strongest). You are bitter about their treatment of you, I get that, but they are more successful now than at anytime '98 - '06 when you liked them, followed them and defended them.
