Watching it now and I immediately noticed how Neal's face lit up (let the jokes commence! :D ) at the sight of his son. Sleazy conduct aside, stuff like this reminds me that he can't be all bad.

All you have to do is compare him to Deen and then you realize that Neal might be a douche but he's not necessarily a bad douche.

hmmm. Not sure if he ever met any of Neal's kids. He was at Neal's wedding to Beth Buckley (mom to Miles & Lizzy) back in 1987 and he did know Beth, though.
