This isn't your typical rock music so be warned. It is however incredibly beautiful & peaceful. Great to listen to when you want to relieve stress, meditate, or drift off to sleep.

Eric Whitacre - Water Night

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ixP0NiG ... re=related

Night with the eyes of a horse that trembles in the night,
Night with eyes of water in the field asleep
Is in your eyes, a horse that trembles is in
Your eyes of secret water.

Eyes of shadow-water,
Eyes of well-water,
Eyes of dream-water.

Silence and solitude,
Two little animals moon-led,
Drink in your eyes,
Drink in those waters.

If you open your eyes, night opens doors of musk,
The secret kingdom of the water opens
Flowing from the center of the night.

And if you close your eyes,
A river, a silent and beautiful current, fills you from within,
Flows forward, darkens you:

Night brings its wetness to beaches in your soul.

I figured I was about the only person on this forum who even knew who Cold Chisel are. Talk about a band that I never thought we'd see another studio album from them again. Great song, and about time for someone to express that sentiment also!

You might be interested to know that Jimmy Barnes also sings a song on Joe Bonamassa's new cd Driving Toward The Daylight due for release next month. Since Kevin Shirley is the producer of both albums, he asked Jimmy to sing a tune on Joe's project.

yea, I know. I was hoping that he would be doing vocals for the entire cd, but no such luck. Hopes were high that I might actually get to see him perform live. Doesn't look like that is going to happen now, since he's only done one gig in the US since the 80s....and that was clear across the country from here.

Of course, it's a rather appropriate song to be discussing here as we will hear Joe's take on Neal Schon's original guitarwork. Good song, but I wish it was a new song as opposed to a remake. C'est la vie...

One of my fave female vocalists, definitely in the top 5. Not much of Country fan, but always thought of her as Country's Pat Benatar. So it was very cool to see them eventually do a Crossroads together. Love her voice, one of my favorites of hers is one of her more little known hits.....her vocals on the chorus almost give ya goosebumps.
