My CD "Every Little Thing" is On Sale Now

Postby Jeremey » Wed Mar 07, 2012 1:36 am

Hey everyone, I just want to share that today my CD goes on sale at www.music.jeremeyfrederick.com. I've gotten a lot of support from this community and from people here on this message board, and so I want to share this invitation to visit the site and at least listen to the full length streaming previews available for each song, and pick up a copy if you like what you hear.

I'm posting my sales FAQ here that should answer any questions...In the meantime I just want to thank everyone once again for the support I've gotten in the making of this CD, and give another shout out to Vic Rivera and Eric Ragno for the incredible job they both did. Every Little Thing is also the Album of the Week on Allee Martell's show on ARfm and I'm glad that although the stylistic influences are pretty diverse, I'm still getting some great feedback from the melodic rock community.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE EVERY LITTLE THING?

Every Little Thing is available at my official website, www.jeremeyfrederick.com. The "Buy CD" link will take you straight to the sales site.

IS IT A DOWNLOAD OR CAN I BUY A REAL CD?

Every Little Thing is available both as a digital download or a physical CD. The download is $10, and can be downloaded in any digital format you prefer. There are several lossless and uncompressed formats available, which are sonically identical to the original master. There is also a high quality MP3 320 format and AAC for smaller (compressed) files with little difference in sound quality. The digital download includes a 10 page PDF booklet with high quality cover art, lyrics, and production credits.

The physical CD is available for $12, and will ship the next day. Additionally, when you purchase a physical CD you will be emailed a download code for an immediate digital copy of the album in the format of your choice (see above). The CD is a professionally manufactured disc in a high quality 4 panel Digipak. So for $2 more than the download, you get an actual CD you can hold in your hands, and I'll even sign it for you if you want.

WHAT ABOUT INTERNATIONAL ORDERS?

The CD is available worldwide and ships internationally via US First Class post. The international shipping option will calculate your shipping. Please allow 7-10 business days for delivery. In the meantime you can enjoy the digital version while you wait!

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE CD?

My CD sales are powered by an amazing site called Bandcamp. They put all of this digital mojo together so people like me (a) didn't have to figure it out on our own or (b) didn't have to give some big corporation half of our hard earned cash just to sell our music. All sales through Bandcamp are handled just like any other online transaction - They accept any major credit cards as well as PayPal. Bandcamp is seamless with my own site. Just follow the link at www.jeremeyfrederick.com and click the "Buy CD" link. You never have to leave my site.

CAN I BUY YOUR MUSIC ON iTUNES?

Every Little Thing will be on iTunes before the end of March. I made a conscious decision to sell the CD from my own site exclusively for the first several weeks. Why?

iTunes songs are only available in a compressed AAC format. That's great for the vast majority of people. However if I can deliver songs to you in an uncompressed format, at a quality identical to the digital master and for the same price as iTunes - why wouldn't I? If you do chose a compressed digital format from my site, the MP3 320 format is a much higher quality than iTunes AAC.
iTunes makes it very difficult for independent artists to include the digital PDF booklets that many major label releases include on iTunes. Since I spent so many hours creating a fantastic 10 page booklet, I want you to have it! It comes at no extra charge with the download from my site.
Many people don't like iTunes at all and refuse to buy there
Commission terms for independent artists are more favorable through Bandcamp than the % set by Apple. iTunes orders don't allow my customers to join my email lists, and Apple gives zero information to me about my customers (where you are buying from, etc). As an independent musician, that kind of stuff is extremely valuable.
If you insist on buying from iTunes, Every Little Thing will be submitted to iTunes before the end of the month.

Hopefully that covers most of the questions I've heard. If there's anything else I can help answer please ask me here!

Thanks again everyone!

I am flying to Florida Thursday morning and have this loaded on my iPod so I can listen to it all the way through in one sitting. Congrats on the release, Jeremey and I hope the recovery is going well. Sorry I won't be seeing you in a couple weeks, but I hope you get that Cleveland show rebooked.

Get the 320 kbps over the iTunes download if you go that route. I made sure I uploaded it into the cloud before it makes it to iTunes so the match service wouldn't downgrade to the AAC 256 kbps format.

I did this, but I also bought the physical CD. Just seems like a cool thing to have even though I don't keep many physical copies around.

Very excited to listen to it.

Thanks a lot, Matt, hope you like the tunes! Recovery is getting better every day. I know several of the other venues booked other local Journey tributes because our recent cancellations were on such short notice. Luckily the venues are standing behind us and are committed to our return. In fact I had a great phone call today with Cleveland HOB and we are rescheduling in early July.

I'm also glad you got the physical CD. Everyone says CD is dead but CD sales have vastly outnumbered digital sales today...By large margins. I personally have bought only digital for years and years. I can't remember the last physical CD I purchased. But this is a really good looking CD and I think I priced it right, considering that it comes with a digital download anyway.

Early July, huh? I suggest July 13 for my birthday bash. If not, we'll just call it my birthday anyway.

LOL July 13 was one of the dates mentioned. I do have a hold for an Ohio festival on July 14th so as long as it doesn't interfere with their radius clause that just may work.

Got done listening to the audio files today. I have to say it's a good album. I love the way your voice sounds in it, reminds me of Perry from For Love Of the Strange Medicine/Trial By Fire and I enjoyed that version of his voice.
