Yep and as they should be. Once they get his INR where it needs to be he should be good to go.

YAY!!! I bet the nursing staff has ordered a case of bubbly!

Seriously, I am happy to hear he is on the mend...I know he will follow what the doctors have given for instructions.

Best wishes on a full recovery.

Yeah it's amazing what we ignore when we shouldn't. I keep up like clockwork with surgeon appts every 6 mos from my mother's history, but have been awful about getting other stuff done. L and I just discussed last week about even needing to do the full body check at the dermatologist, just something I've put off for years that should be done!

B you're bad  prayer thread for the agnostics of MR

Good to hear Dan's home. It's also good to see that he's willing to cut down whatever means necessary to get himself better and have a remaining life of health and happiness. Get well soon dude. 8)

Dan's doctor said Dan can have 3-4 beers a week. So I suggested to Dan not to drink the next 6-8 weeks to save it up and just drinks a case when we hang out this summer :)

Holy crap, I go into hospital for a week and all hell breaks loose! Dan, I feel for you - 6 days of being told 'maybe tomorrow or the day after' every time I asked when I could go home. A ward full of whining biddies who complained 24/7, and nothing to do but sit in bed and wait. Ugh! Get someone to get you a laptop and a connection to Netflix and Hulu (hey, you can watch all the old episodes of 21 jump Street :P ) and at least you'll have something to do. Once someone has explained how to download a movie, of course. Did you ever work out how to change your icon?

Get well soon - if you cark it, your family will have to pay out extra to get an extra-long coffin just for you, and think of all the booze and concert tickets that could be better spent on.
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Not too bad - I've got a PICCline in and a baxter pump administering antibiotics intravenously 24/7, and my lower left leg looks like something out of a zombie movie, but I feel pretty good (especially now I'm not bored out of my skull in hospital) and am healing very nicely - shouldn't be any scars, they've said. Have to say, though - hospitals are the worst place to recover in; they're boring, grey, grim, depressing and noisy. Much better to be treated at home if you can. Hope Dan gets well enough to get out soon.

The one thing Dan misses from the hospital is ( besides all the hot nurses ), the one male nurse who took Dan's temperature daily. The old-fashined way

Other than a serious case of penisitus, he's okay.  Seriously, he is doing much better, and seems to be in good spirits. I'm calling him now to tell him that you all said for him to fuck off! :D

I just talked to him (didn't tell him to fuck off though), and he is feeling much better. He's not completely out of the woods though, but I'm not going to go into his medical stuff here. I'll just leave it with him doing much better. Now if we could just get him back here posting... :?

Exactly ...and if he's had his penis removed, he probably wouldn't post
w/the same vigor anyway!!
Let's give him some time to not think it's still there ...

  I'm trying, but to no avail. Just miss his posts and comments in here, as I think he was one of the biggest contributors to the site. I completely understand why he no longer wishes to post here, but with Deano being gone, it would be nice to see him around. Oh well... maybe in time he'll change his mind.

After reading over at the "you can say anything you want board" I guess I should have not asked B via PM how Dan was as
I was VERY worried for his well being and to tell him that I sincerely sent my prayers for a speedy recovery.

I thought were at a point where he may have been sorry for what he had posted to me on several occasions. I kind of felt that
we were past it all.

Guess I was wrong...... :?

I for one don't understand how it got so personal and out of hand.....my apologies to Andrew.

Holly, you didn't have anything to do with it, and let's just leave it at that. Nothing to do with you at all. Anyway, I guess I've said all I have to in this thread. At least we know Dan is okay, and he still reads here. I guess if anyone has anything to say to him, they just need to take their carcasses over to WTF.
