She's got pipes. I've often wondered why Journey doesn't just hire a female vocalist since they keep burning out male voices. I'd go with that.

She and her band do the song justice- I think she's a rocker chick at heart- she's got vids doing living on a prayer and summer of '69 too.

Maybe she would have been a better pairing for "Crossroads" :?:

Yep, said it many times. If Journey wants to be relevant, and not just relying on their laurels, they need to engage the country female artists. And maybe that's part of the plan, what with JC relocating to Nashville and them bringing in Kalmusky.

Journey can live, and perhaps should live, far beyond Steve Perry's legacy, by not just creating new music themselves, but creating new music on other avenues. Yes, personally play & tour all you want. It sells. However, further engraine yourselves into social strata by getting other genres to infuse. I mean, all Journey's songs have legs. Why not saturate all markets? Journey's mark on rock&roll was made 30 yrs ago. Journey's mark on tourning has been evident ever since. Further the mark by making it all cross-genre. It's soooo darned easy, and Nashville will soooo darned welcome it.

I agree, but you can't teach old Neals....errrr dogs new tricks.
Cain's got the concept, I'm sure, but it's Neal's band and he will dig his low to the ground dick in the dirt, kicking and screaming all the way.

I have always thought (well, since Perry left) that Journey needs to hire a female vocalist. Not only would she be able to hit the notes, but she wouldn't be compared to Perry. New material, I believe, would be accepted and get radio airplay as well.

And yes - Martina is absolutely amazing looking.
