David Lee Roth stops Van Halen concert to deal with fan fight

Van Halen was in the midst of its propulsive rendition of Roy Orbison’s classic “(Oh) Pretty Woman” in Manchester, New Hampshire, when a fight broke out in the audience. David Lee Roth called the song to a screeching halt, yelling: “Knock off the fucking fighting. Fuck you!”

The crowd, as you can see in the video below, went wild.

“What do you think this is, a fucking mosh pit?,” Roth said, to whoops and whistles. “You’ve got all the best looking women on the fucking East Coast here — and all you can fucking think of is fucking fighting?!”

As venue security stream forward to whisk away the offending fans, the unflappable Roth simply restarted the song, which was originally featured on Van Halen’s early 1980s hit album Diver Down: “Shall we continue? From the very beginning, take it from the very beginning, Alex!”

Fuck yeah! That's the way to handle it. I hear Sebastian Bach had to do the same thing and I was at an Iron Maden concert in Irvine three years ago where the bass player had to regulate stage left in the corner.

The hell is with people who come to a concert to watch a band and start shit instead? Where are the music lovers in this country? Damn!
