Jacksonville's not interested, which is surprising. I honestly think teams don't want him. No one wants anything to do with the guy and what "Tebowmania" brings to their franchise, which is one big pain in the neck. It's simple: Tebow will be a career backup journeyman that will be out of the league within the next 3-5 years.

What about Miami? i wonder if they would try and sign him.

I don't think anybody wants anything to do with Tim Tebow as their starting Q.B. They will bring him in for a depth chart move or camp competition, but he'll be a career journeyman backup for the rest of his career. Brady Quinn puts Tebow's QB skills to shame and he hasn't seen the field since 2009. No way Tebow gets a chance at starting QB but rather a clip-board holder.

Miami is waiting for Alex Smith's decision. If I was Smith, I'd say fuck you to that smug Harbaugh and move on but it seems like he's comfortable in San Fran regardless of them screwing him over in favor of Manning (which was a no brainer.) Miami would be the only team I can see interested and I really don't think Tebow can beat out Matt Moore as the season starter.

Here's my thing...if I were an owner...I'd sign him as a RB. QB he AIN'T. He's a damn good athlete, but he's a glorified RB...NOT a QB.

Sooner or later, if he wants to last, he's going to have to make that transformation. If he does, then I'll say Tebow can run your ass over and have a spot in some offense's. Until then, he'll continue to waste his time and efforts trying to complete 6 pass's a game.

I don't trust white RBs.

And you're right...he'd be nice to have in an option...but trusting him to actually THROW all the time??...yea...no.

People say Tight End as well but he has never shown he can put his hand in the dirt and fire off against bigger and stronger DE/OLB's or getting open in secondaries. H-back is his best option, he showed he can run the rock but you're right Liam, his style is nothing but an option offense and very few want to run that around one guy in the NFL.

RIGHT. And who knows if he can even catch? I'm thinking he SURE as hell can't block, so TE's out. Witten...he will never be. lol

HB I could see..and even maybe a Safety...but QB...NO. I said S because that would be interesting to see. Not saying it would actually HAPPEN...but with the way he scrambles....I COULD actually see him as a FS.

Christ, I can see Bellichick pulling that out of his ass with a WR in Eldelman playing CB and "QB" Tebow playing FS for the Patriots. Disaster in the making.

The Pats makes the least sense. He fits nowhere. Can't hand him the ball, they aren't built to run the ball. They barely even ran it with Green-Ellis. Can't put him at an overflowing T.E position to where they just signed another FA T.E for depth. Only thing I can see them doing with Tebow is trickery. Brady from the shotgun with the threat of an option with Tebow or a pitch out of some sort or maybe in some case's taking shots down the field. Doesn't make sense though regarding a H.O.F QB in Brady to do that job. If they think putting him on defense is his value then that's hilarious.

I guess I see the Jacksonville angle in an effort to sell tickets (I believe Tebow is from that area, in addition to his college roots). That said, didn't the Jaguars just draft Gabbert with their number one pick last season? I'm not sold on Gabbert, AT ALL, as an NFL QB, but it's probably a bit premature to replace him with a guy who throws like I punt

God fucking help me. I will say this, if anyone can turn Touchdown Jesus into a football player, it's Belichick. I don't think anyone can turn him into a QB. I truly hope the Patriots don't go after Tebow. Then again, they've signed Anthony Gonzalez, Brandon Lloyd Donte Stallworth, and Robert Gallery, so who knows what's next with this team. Bill seems to want to sign anyone. I think he is finally realizing that Brady is almost 36 and that even the great ones start looking mortal when they're this old!

I agree. It seems like Bellichick is putting together his last effort to put the best overall team he could possibly build around Brady & I love most of their acquisitions in FA. I don't think Stallworth is going to amount to anything, neither do I think Chad Johnson will be back but if I was a Pats fan, I can def. get behind the signing of Anthony Gonzalez (Brandon Lloyd is the obvious.) He fits perfectly within that system and I think he could be a dangerous possession receiver that has Welker-like abilities. The Pats chances at returning to the Super Bowl are through the roof, especially if they land Anthony Castillo, pass-rushing D.E from San Diego.

Haha, yeah, false report. No visit was even scheduled. That's why I popped a boner because I saw "Pittsburgh Steelers" pop up in FA. The Steelers don't need anybody else's leftovers. FA is a complete deceased time period here. I focus sorely on draft prospects and maybe at the end of FA, we'll clean up a 2nd or 3rd tier lineman or tight end, a gap depth move to fill for cheap. Besides, we have about, $6.99 to spend in FA anyhow.

Report: Looks like Mendenhall's Steelers career has ended. His ACL tear was pretty bad at the end of last season and he won't be ready for this season at all. He'll be on the PUP list and will be cut in 2013 so expect the Steelers to maybe go RB in the earlier rounds, maybe 3 or 4 for a possible replacement long term.

So let me get this straight: first the Colts gave the Broncos John Elway now the Colts give the Broncos Peyton Manning.

I fuckin' can't stand when people say stupid shit on Facebook in football arguements. So I'm going to post a few gems:

people the broncos are stupid there getting a quarterback that is a future hall of famer, for bout 3-4 years when they could've kept tim tebow who has bout a good 15 years to change the league of the nfl. if I was tebow I would go to the jags because there based on a running qb offense so tebow should adjust perfectly to their offense and making them playoff contenders.

 We need BJG's "Stop, Grammar Time" pic for this one. And I didn't know Blaine Gabbert was the second coming of Michael Vick. Interesting.

The NFL is supposed to be about the bottom line of winning. Tebow is a winner, always has been, probably always will be. I agree that it is a big mistake tossing him on the heap and I hope the Broncos live to regret it.

No credit goes to Dumerville, Miller, Bailey or the Bronco's defense in that span when Tebow started. Or Marion Barber, whichever you prefer. 100% Tim Tebow. Mr. 40% completion percentage. :x

well tebow is nooo longer a virgin cause john elway just fucked him......

Lmao.

damn you elway damn you.....

Do these people know that they tossed the guy that is lucky to throw 6 completions a game for a Hall of Fame Quarterback that is considered one of the best ever to play the game of football in any era?

....and Skip Bayless STILL thinks Tebow can take a team to the Super Bowl. Good Lord!

I'm going to whip out some Steven A. Smith VS Skip Bayless moments on First Take. Best television ever. Stephen A. is my hero. That dude can tear anybody apart and he's hilarious and dramatic but makes excellent points.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Mendenhall was never that good, even when healthy. He was no better than Benjarvus Green-Ellis, who was the picture of mediocrity (except Benjarvus fumbled a lot less than Mendenhall). I don't view this as a loss for the Steelers, AT ALL. Mendenhall is EASILY replaceable.

This stuff is always classic and I've heard it all before. I especially love the exchange where Bayless tries to talk himself into the fact that Brady is overrated because only Joe Montana is ahead of him, in the history of NFL QB's. Classic. My opinion will never change on this. Tom Brady is THE ONLY reason the Patriots went to The Super Bowl last season. That defense was a fucking embarrassment the entire season!

I must admit 2000-2012 so far the Bellichick's Patriots led by QB Tom Brady has had a pretty amazing run and one of the longest ever as far as coach/QB duo because all they do is keep on winning. They've been to at least 5 super bowls during that span winning three of them and winning division titles pretty much yearly on top of yearly playoff appearances.Plus you have to admire Bellichick and the way he does trades and drafts. At one point he had a truckload of draft picks built up and he is very smart about how he trades because he has pretty much gotten the best of the Raiders a couple times. It will be very interesting to see how long Bellichick and Brady can keep it up.Of course once Brady retires it will be very hard on Bellichick to find another QB as good as Brady but they have had a long run so far so now its a question of how many more years they have left.If i had to guess i'd say Brady has a good three or four years left maybe more.A franchise QB is everything and can turn a losing team into a annual winner in no time.A good example of this are the Indy Colts. Before 1998 the Colts weren't exactly doing anything special and were not known as winners but once they drafted Peyton Manning the Colts were the winningest team in the NFL from 1998-2010 when Peyton was playing QB for the Colts.Thats what a franchise QB can do.Since 2000 when Dan Marino left the Dolphins went from winning games to hard times. After Marino left from 2000-2012 the Dolphins have went through dozens of QB's and coaches and have had trouble winning. In twelve long years the Dolphins have still not found Dan Marino's replacement to take over the Dolphins and win games.

Manning choosing Denver makes absolutely no sense at all. Arizona and San Fran were by far his best choices. He fucked it up. He couldn't handle the expectations that would have come with going to San Fran.

Denver is a mediocre team that was incredibly lucky to be a playoff team last year at 8-8 including a 3 game slide to end the season. And they couldn't have gotten luckier to play against a broken down Steelers.
