Sending my girl LLL a little TLC - need some help here!

Lauren (LLL) is pretty down at the moment; she's taking her mom's recent death very hard, and the stress of dealing with all the associated stuff of her mom's funeral, estate, etc is giving her a few health problems. So I think she needs to cut back, dance to some cheesy 80s feelgood music and maybe have a few laughs too. Stuff to remind her life doesn't always feel so down. And what better bunch of lunatics to find those songs that have you up and dancing your fluroescent socks off, or rolling on the floor holding your stomach?

So, kicking off with Bowling For Soup singing "1985" (which really should be the theme song for this place!)

for the insane happies, Katrina and the Waves with "Walking On Sunshine"

and for the giggles, an old classic (ok, it's not the 80s, but it's still funny) - Allan Sherman with "One Hippopotami"

Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

I too, have been trying to be there for her. Sometimes life just looks like shit and I know she's a good person. It's important for her to know she has friends here who extend love and are not here to judge. I hope we can all help her pull though this very difficult time. Nobody knows what it's like to live in someone else' shoes. Let's keep pulling for her and keep Lauren in our thoughts and prayers!

We love you Lauren!

Hey GingerGirl, if you're going to bump, you'd better grind too - where's the song? :D
