I'm LMAO, as this thread is nothing about what it started about.

They especially give you a standing ovation if they are in the front of the audience at a televised show and they are supposed to be enthusiastic. Looks good for the camera and that's why there are usually so many cute chicks down front when something is televised.
P.S. omg. I want to smoosh that kitty in your sig.

Because the band itself has completely no effect on my livelihood, including but not limited to where I live, how I live my life, my health, my home, my wife, my family, my job, my income, my credit scores, etc. etc. etc. So basically no one should get their panties all tied up in a knot over what the members of Journey do. I like the music, I buy the album. If I want to immerse my life in a band's personal business, I don't buy the album, I go out and stand in line with all the old bags that don't have a life, to purchase the shitty The National Enquirer and then I spend the rest of my day pissing and moaning about what I read earlier about the band.

It was announced on Journey's website.

If you notice and correct me if I'm wrong, but the only person who refers to JSS as "perminent" is JSS himself. Not saying that is the "make or break", but I did notice that. Nothing is perminent in life so, with that in mind, it really boils down to what the band defines "perminent" as. Perminent for the rest of this tour? Perminent for this year? Perminent until we find someone else, etc. etc. Again we weren't there, we didn't read a contract agreement between all parties involved.
One thing for sure, the comment "Steve Perry fans have never gotten over the original lead singer's departure from the band," is pretty accurate to say the very least in regards to the very deeply rooted die-hard 80's Steve Perry fronted Jouney fan. But even that comment does not pass without flaw, as Steve Perry wasn't actually the original lead singer for the band. Isn't Robert F the original lead singer, bar none?
This holds true for me when I listen to other bands outside of Journey as well. If I want to listen to Queen, it's got to be with Freddie Mercury. If I want to listen to Van Halen, it's got to be with Diamond Dave, late seventies early eighties only. If I want to listen to Journey's "After All These Years", it's got to be with Arnel Pineda in the band. Etc, etc. etc.

For business purposes, and specifically with Journey... the band has ALWAYS been a corporation.. it's how Herbie structured the band in the beginning.
This has been KNOWN for over 30 years...
Because they are a corporation.. All the members have to have employment contracts defining their status as shareholders in the corporation. It's the LAW. Each shareholders OWNS a percentage of the corporation, defined by the number of shares they are allotted. When a member leaves the band, for whatever reason, his shares must be bought out, at a price that was pre-defined OR is negotiated at the time of departure. They were all "permanent" members...
- It's why Perry had to be bought out, as part of the buyout agreement, none of the other "oweners" could say anything disparaging about each other.. until the agreement expired.
- It's why Augeri had to be bought out, and likely can not disparage the band as part of the buyout agreement.
- It's why JSS had to be bought out, and likely can not disparage the band as part of the buyout agreement.
Non-shareholders are effectively only "employees" (hired guns)... they have no voting rights, and no band ownership... and can be fired at anytime... for any reason.
If Arnel does not own shares in the Journey corporation.. then he is only a contract employee.
clear now?"
