FTLOSM Perry Demo

Nothing I've ever heard again. Youtube link says 2005, but no idea how accurate that is. It's definitely post-ROR, and maybe even after Trial By Fire, judging by the vocal style. Whenever it was recorded, I have to say Perry sounds pretty darn good vocally. Anyone have info on this one???

**** edited....this is a FTLOSM demo that never made the cd ****

HE CAN SING HE CAN SING! God damn it he can still sing.

And a great roaring ballad song.

His voice probably isnt there to go around and do touring but an album NEEDS to be made.

It's from 1993.

(unreleased)
(Home At Last, Touch Tonight)

These songs were written for the album, For The Love Of Strange Medicine, but were never released. Maybe someday!

Only Steve can pronounce "myself" as "my-SAY-alf"
Yup....that's him alright. 8)

Listen to how he sings "alone" at the 28 second mark....chills.

I found this very interesting: Published today....hmmm....to gain traction for a new CD, perhaps....?

Why wasn't this on FTLOSM? This is better than most the stuff on there. He truely did have an amazing voice even still in '93.

This one's been around for sometime....it's a lot earlier than 2005 - mid-late 90s I believe.

There are however some 2005/2006 vocal demos in existance

a second listens just gets better, I know its not radio friendly 1994 or 2012 but,
he could sing in 1994...
I know I was at his 1 and 2nd concert.

maybe he cant tour, heard his voice got worse...
but I truly hope he sings again

Wow...that sounds amazing!

I just did some digging on Dick Wagner, who is credited with Steve on this song. He's a guitarist and songwriter who has worked with tons of people from the 1960's on, including Alice Cooper and KISS.

This song was an unreleased demo that he and Steve did in '93.

Wagner released his own CD in 2008 called "Home at Last" and it has a version of this song on it, but it's performed by another singer. You can hear it on iTunes.

Yet another rare gem from the Perry vault!

We're going to have to start that collection up...to fly Andrew
to Caleeeeforneeeya ..to lock SP in the studio until he gets it done...
Then a call for volunteers to make sure Andrew dont snuckie them out...

Yes, I remember hearing about that, but I thought I read something about a revisiting of their collaboration in more recent years though (also unreleased). Do you (or anyone else) know what I'm talking about?

One of the best things he's ever done as a solo artist. I can't believe it was left off Strange Medicine.
