Jason and Allen Brady (he's the guy Ernie saw in Charlotte) both will be doing upcoming shows with us. Also Mike Leigh and Ross Hancock from Baltimore have subbed.

Ah, I see. Well Jason sounded pretty good with you guys. Haha, had no idea you knew Ernie or that I knew him, yep, I'm a fan and friend.

No kidding. J--any way you can get Kelty to ditch the dig for Cleveland? I'm planning on taking friends and want the focus to be on the music/talent, not the hokey shit.

LOL, I wouldn't say I "know" Ernie, but every couple of months I'll get a message from mutual friends alerting me to his random rants about Frontiers and myself on his Facebook page.

LOL I don't think I'd have much luck making that argument...

In that case, I'll keep out of this one. :)

Escape just finished their first set. Kelty sounds amazing. He's knocked every song out of the park. So much better than the last time I saw Niel's band.

Man I wish they would come around Louisville. Been a huge fan of Escape since the 90's. Kelty still has it.

hmm... Frontiers (@ Dallas JackFM) didn't have that same "vibe" as they did at HOB in Dallas last time I saw them. Probably due to JH not being on lead and some band changes, but it just didn't look like you guys were a band, more like a a few guys just doing a gig. But...still....the music was very good, Jason on lead vox was the same as on his you tube vids, a good (sometimes great) voice with strange stage antics & that god awful....horrid....wig. I've SEEN pics of him without the wig...he's a good looking guy....lose the wig Jason...there is simply no need for it. Granted...if Frontiers or Escape had the full Journey trib visuals going, then...maybe...but to just come out with a SP wig...and no one else is dressing the part, well...it stands out visually in a negative way.

btw..for all things Jason go here: http://jasonkelty.com (He's also a decent drummer with a Rush trib btw. )

Jeremey, reading between the lines, it almost seems as if your days of singing lead vox (on Journey tunes at least) is coming to an end? I thought it would take you fairly long to heal, you said your voice definitely sounds different. In what way? Less range, a bit more raspy? Lots of singers coming off a voice operation sound raspy for quite a while due to more air moving over their vocal chords. Is this what you're experiencing? I do hope you get a chance to sing with Frontiers again. Good luck on the recovery process.

Right now our plans our to continue fulfilling the dates we had booked when I was on schedule to return to singing by summer time. The actual condition of my voice right now has very little to do with my surgeries (although having 2 vocal cord surgeries in an 8 week timeframe has to fundamentally change the landscape of such a delicate balance of tissues). The reality is my voice is still closing down once I reach a certain pitch while singing. It's not raspy, it's not strained and it doesn't break...It just closes off, like someone has put a hand around your throat. This can be worked through with lots of muscle/physical therapy...The reality is, after working through a muscle injury like that for however long it may take (6 months, a year?), the opportunity for Frontiers to be viable as we once were a year ago slips away. Many other Journey tributes come into the picture and book rooms we've been playing for years, and we essentially go back to starting over again. I'm not making any announcements or declarations about the future of the band right now, but I will say that I'm looking at lots of different options to stay in the business and continue working in my area of expertise.

Hope the band doesn't pull a JSS on you. Jeremey!

Good luck Jeremey, I'd like to go on record as saying you have an incredible voice and I hope you get a chance to continue doing what you love most, either with FT or via a solo effort. ;)

Thanks Tex, what I love most is performing for people, so I am hoping that there's still a window open somewhere I can make that happen. See the general forum for an idea of what my voice sounds like today :)

Is that what your wife told you when she caught you playing the skin flute, Steveo?

I was getting real "trim" when you were jacking off to the models in your mom's favorite lingerie mag.

Thanks Steve! Luckily I still know how to use it...It just acts differently haha...So I have to figure out how to make it do what I want it to do if that makes sense. These Petty songs are kind of working through that, since they fall below that register that is closed off for the time being.

Well, after hearing the Petty demo, I can tell from listening to you before and after that you're sounding a lot clearer. You got progressively raspier and took on kind of a sound that I can only describe as... "Gurgly"? ... I don't know. That's just what I'd been hearing when I'd watch Frontiers videos in that time period. But you've obviously been taking good care after your operations. I really think you can get back to where you left off, in time.
