Anyone find tunes you possibly hated before and like now, or somehow didn't hear it because it wasn't in the charts or didn't have the album, or have a change of heart?

The rule here : Has To be the 80s.

Mine:

I Need You Tonight - ZZ Top Eliminator (Bluesy, smokey, Manly - plus Two Solos in one!) - All I knew was Legs, Sharped Dressed Man and Gimme All Your Lovin' (Didn't buy the album) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGr4NHj92rY

The One I Love - REM from Document (the video on MTV was played hundreds of times I didn't bother listening to it more than 3 times so sick of the video)- But now for me its brilliant sonically and understated (listen to the background vocals almost inaudible but it IS there "She's coming down on her own now/Coming down on her own".) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7oQEPfe-O8

For me, it was "Remember the Feeling" by Chicago. Don't remember ever hearing it on the charts or radio but came to love this song years after Chicago 17 came out. Great song!

Good call there Joe. Same here on that count. Which reminds me...I liked the original Please Hold On which was available on cassette but the CD version a pale shadow. Are you familiar with the former issue?

And more thing, I didnt care for Stay the Night but NOW can't get enough of it! Killer of a rocker 8)

Good call Eyeof! Great call on Don't Change. It's on my ipod NOW! Let's see for me? Fire with Fire-Kansas! Horrible video, great song. Loverboy, Queen of the Broken Hearts! Hated it. Now really like it. Actually I didn't care for Loverboy until I got older. Reno is a cool dude too.

Well, I don't know if I can name specific songs at the moment? But.. Back in the 80's I was anything but a big Bon Jovi fan. I did like "You Give Love A Bad Name" a lot, and "Living On A Prayer" "Dead Or Alive" "Bad Medicine" and "Runaway" were decent. But I strongly disliked most of the rest of their songs.

But by the 90's and the Grunge era, I starting thinking that I'd kill to be hearing those old Bon Jovi songs that I disliked so much, in place of the Grunge crap that was on the air.

I hated most Prince songs back in the 80's, and have grown to slightly like some of them now.

The worst music of the 80's was way better than any of the Grunge era, IMO.

Another one I can mention is Stay Away by Toto from (The Seventh One) not a fav in that album but now I think it's awesome. Especially the percussion, which actually saves it and Linda Ronstadt background just works! It's actually quite diverse with the lap steel guitar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-K2R_4qGgKQ

J/S I think that is key for me to...with so much to pick from in the pre-junk/grunge era, there was stuff I didn't care for that much at all...

But looking back, I do enjoy...Prince is a great example...

For me, even Metallica and AC/DC are good example...I didn't dislike them, but with so much to choose from, I didn't have to rush out and see them either....

It's like Cinderella said man..."Don't know what ya got...till it's gone!"
