I knew it would be. Too powerful of a story not to tell and this will coincide beautifully when they ride off into the sunset a few years later, having left their mark on the fan's hearts forever.

The credits then need to roll with all artist's names from the beginning to the end. The Journey was a beautiful ride and we were all a part of it. Glad I got to witness all of it.

Cinedigm releases movies into alternative theater venues... meaning you won't see this at your local Century 21 theater... in fact you most likely won't even know when it plays... unless about hear about it on Journey's website, Arnels website, or this message board...

Haha...I think Sushi's got it more right. I can guarantee 99% of m/a Asian women (who are not of Filipino descent) couldn't care less about seeing the docu...Journey fan or no Journey fan.

I could ask 20 white, black, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Latina women who Arnel is and none of them will know. However I could ask the same amount of Pinas and all of them would know who is he.

And for this reason, whoever bought this film must be planning to market it in the Philippines cause I really don't see it being profitable anywhere else. Since America is so hosed up right now, it's hard to say how the film would do in the US.

A bit of a side note but as I thought, the film producers DID need to get Perry's permission to use music he had credits for in their film.

“Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey” has received much praise from critics and has been one of the favorite films at several film festivals. Even the band members of Journey love the film and feel that it captured “the emotions” of the band at their time of transition. As for Steve Perry, no word from his camp on his thoughts on the project.

“We didn’t speak directly with Steve for this film but we did communicate with him through his attorney. We needed to get permission to use his songs in the film,” said Brogden. “He was very cooperative. When we finished the film before we released it we contacted his attorney again to see if Steve wanted to remove the parts of the film that discussed him and through his attorney he told us that it was not necessary. He has been sent a copy of the film but we don’t know if he has watched it or not.”

Well, well...by now most legal eagles have figured out that Steve Perry is not Journey. There are surviving, working artists who still need to pay their bills. The show will go on.

Neal too x 2. Working income is normally better than retirement income. Arnel Pineda has more money in his mail box each month than Steve Perry. As an equal member of the band, he gets one fifth of what the rake is. Steve Perry hasn't toured in a long...long...time. Do the math.

Are we sure that Pineda is "an equal" member of the band. I thought I read something I while back, close to the time of his first joining, that he was a salaried employee. Could be totally wrong though. Either way, I am sure Pineda is making quite a bit of bank.

if I remember correctly, AP is paid a fixed fee...

He only has 2 songwriting credits with the band.. so he's only receiving royalty checks for those

Where do you get that from? Neal has said on more than one occasion and even very recently that they get so may licensing requests they have to turn some down; that is money that Pineda doesn't see at all. Also, of the 730,000 albums sold last year 650,000 were from the Classic catalog. Factor in that Pineda has said more than once that he gets paid up front for everything he does with Journey (never mind that he has his own personal manager De Leon who gets a cut) and that paints a very different picture indeed.

He only has 2 songwriting credits with the band.. so he's only receiving royalty checks for those

As Eclipse has fallen off of the face of the planet, not much coming from that source.

Just checking Amazon downloads and we can see Infinity outselling Eclipse 10 to 1, Escape outselling it 9 to 1, Evolution 2 to 1 just to list a few and that's just one store's mp3 sales.

The album isn't even in the Top 2,000 in sales at Wal-Mart, the store the CD is tied to.
