I know. A friend of mine transferred to LAX last year and today he sent me a text with a picture of the weather. He's a Texas boy and keeps tabs on us here, and rubs it in every god damned chance he gets.![]()

We'll get ours. Usually August through September is when it heats up around here.

And the Rangers can't beat them. In their own oven?

Yeah a guy just called up from Triple A just jacked one out for the Angels after Texas tied it in the bottom of the 9th. Their 8 game lead is about to go down to 2.

The Rangers are in a huge slump. They really needed this series.

They need pitching and Hamilton to do something.

It's hot all damned summer long where I am in Cali, too. It can vary wildly between 110-114, and when it really gets going temps of 115-117 aren't uncommon. I haven't felt it get too much worse than that the lost couple years. I'm very familiar with temps in the 120F range, though.
So everybody who complains about 95 degrees needs to shut it. That's COOL in my book!
JRNYMAN wrote:Yeah, it gets hot in the southwest BUT I'll take 110-115 with 15-25% humidity everyday of the week and twice on Sundays than to have temps hovering around 90-100 with the humidity represented by those same numbers!!!!

Never really understood this logic...even a little. Saying it's 120 degrees with no humidity is analogous to saying that it's minus 30 degrees outside...but, there is no wind! At some point, it really doesn't make a freakin' difference! Hot is hot and cold is cold. As I've always said, my fucking oven doesn't have an ounce of humidity inside of it, and I have ZERO desire to get inside of it!![]()
