This cracks me up. A kiss-in? Boy, that's really going to do something, huh? Unless they plan on buying something while they're in the restaurant, they really have no business being there. Regardless, unless they're acting like perverts and tonguing each other, who really even cares?

You may want to consider not eating out at fast food establishments/restaurants and buying certain brands/products, etc. Chick-fil-a is by no means the only corporation that "gives to a political cause."

You said to give money to Chick-fil-A is to give money to a political cause, which is something you do not do.

And all I said was Chick-fil-A is not the only entity that does that.

A coalition of black pastors is calling on other black pastors nationwide to withhold support for President Obama, demanding that the administration reverse its stance on same-sex marriage.

“By embracing gay marriage, President Obama is leading the country down an immoral path,” said Rev. William Owens, president of the 1,300-member Coalition of African-American Pastors. “The Black Church has always been the conscience of America, and today we are calling on black pastors and black Christians to withhold support from President Obama until he corrects course.”

“President Obama is the fulfillment of our dream for our sons — and he has broken our hearts by using his power and position to endorse as a civil right something that is simply wrong,” the letter read. “Some things are bigger than the next election.”

Didn't see one LGBT person protesting this church like Chick-fil-a did we? Hmmmmmmmm

Some of those black ministers are coming out with much stronger language on this issue than any white pastor, who would be pilloried as a "racist" for saying something even half as incendiary.

This boycott thing had been done before... perhaps they learned from the best!

http://articles.cnn.com/1997-06-18/us/9 ... n?_s=PM:US

DALLAS CNN Leaders of the Southern Baptists, the nations largest Protestant denomination, voted Wednesday to boycott Walt Disney Co. and its subsidiaries for what it called the companys antiChristian and antifamily direction.
The boycott includes the companys films and theme parks and its television network, ABC.
An overwhelming majority of delegates voted in favor of the measure at the Southern Baptist Convention, an annual meeting held by the denomination. The vote is not binding for the nations 15 million Southern Baptist members.

Many Southern Baptists object to Disneys policy of giving health benefits to samesex partners of employees, Gay Days at theme parks, and the release by Disney and its subsidiaries of controversial books and films like Pulp Fiction and Kids.
Disney officials declined to comment on the potential impact of any boycott but said the company had nothing to be ashamed of.
We are very proud that Disney creates more family entertainment of every kind than anyone else in the world, and we plan to increase that production, spokesman Ken Green said.
Gay rights activists say Disney is one of a growing number of companies that have dropped discriminatory policies and that the Southern Baptists are out of tune with mainstream American society.
They are overestimating the antigay sentiment in their own organization and the country, said David Smith, a spokesman for the Human Rights Campaign gay rights group, which lobbies Congress and big U.S. companies.
We dont think people are so antigay that it would prevent them from taking their children to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse at Disney World, he said.
Last June, Southern Baptists gave Disney a year to change its ways. Since then, the church leaders have said Disney has ignored their complaints and even increased its antifamily, progay policies and programming.
Attempts to limit the boycott were beaten back. There was virtually no opposition except from the Rev. Rick Markham of Snellville, Georgia, who said the convention was reacting to an extreme position by adopting another extreme themselves.
A convention spokesman has said that the decision to have Ellen Degeneres character on the ABC program Ellen reveal that she is a lesbian was a major

I'm a Christian myself and rarely ever support a boycott. They don't work and, even if they do any damage at all, the only people that suffer are the ones who can least afford it, the average worker, not the upper management folks who they're intended for.

MOST cast members is a huge stretch. Maybe in entertainment...but it takes a LOT of people to run those parks. I have very close family members and friends who were or are cast members. Saying most are gay is a complete exaggeration.

 OK 3% general population and 30% at Disney.

There's lots of gays working at Disney. I'm sure of it. Not all for sure as that's not possible. But it's a haven.

Well the entertainment aspects of Disney would of course attract a higher percentage of gay people that some employers would. Disney's benefit policies help that too. But there are thousands and thousands of jobs on Disney property, and straight people are still huge majority. My husband worked there when I met him, and for 6 years while we were married. I knew a lot of cast members back then, and many in their college program apartments too. Still know several cast members now too. A few close family. I assure you even they were not mostly "gay". Trust me, it's not what you think.

Oh, and you don't have to play Draw Something if you don't want to. A lot of people complain that it's a huge battery drainer.

Some move up to the Cruise Line if lucky enough. I could post links and pics but Andrew or you probably wouldn't like them.
Yeah, pics and links of a small minority of people. That's my point. You are really generalizing here. Now shut yer damn pie hole!

Wow, you go, Lynnie!
 damn, good thing you could read my mind to edit that for me!!

I do what I can. :D

Oh, and you don't have to play Draw Something if you don't want to. A lot of people complain that it's a huge battery drainer.
I already drew one! But good luck, because it's pretty crappy!

Soccer!

Yeah, Ive wondered that one myself?
Why do so many gay men act so ridiculously over-the-top "feminine?" Most women don't act that feminine.

Same here. Doesn't make any sense to me. Kinda like why do bulldykes hate men, but want to BE men.

Yeah and why is it that lebians don't like real dick but do like it when a bulldyke uses a strap-on on them? And you never see bulldykes wanting to sport a male horseshoe pattern balding haircut. I'd give them a little more credit if they started shaving off the hair from the top of their heads. and look at Chastity Bono, it doesn't take a grossly overweight body to look like a man.

I assumed he was kidding, because, if we're not anything else, we're, by god, amusing.

And I'll get your third. Hey FF, thanks for being a huge contributor to the board. No forum can survive without difference of opinion, unless it's a porn forum.

You may want to consider not eating out at fast food establishments/restaurants and buying certain brands/products, etc. Chick-fil-a is by no means the only corporation that "gives to a political cause."

That is not what I said. I said the CEO turned the company into a political tool. the very fact that this thread exists and its contents are proof of that.

You said to give money to Chick-fil-A is to give money to a political cause, which is something you do not do.

And all I said was Chick-fil-A is not the only entity that does that.

When Monker said, "I'll never eat at Chick-fil-a again. Not because of their donations but because to give that company money is to give it to a political cause - which is something I simply do not do." That's not what he said. What he really said was, "the CEO turned the company into a political tool. the very fact that this thread exists and its contents are proof of that".

easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Monk, you are a trip. Btw, it's still $123 Billion over 10 Years.. :P

Oh, please, are you guys this stupid?

It has absolutely nothing to do with how donations were made, which is what I said in what you quoted. I've known about that for years. It is because of all the crap you did NOT quote has made Chick-fill-a, the company itself, political, and eating there is now supporting hatred towards gays. That's just crap, and I'm not going to associate myself with a company that has made themselves so political.

I thought I read somewhere today that Wendy's is joining ranks with Chick-Fil-A in supporting them too.

I'm longing for the day a gay Muslim couple tries to have a gay wedding in a Muslim mosque in the US. They will be booted out of the mosque on their friggin heads if it's a genuine Muslim mosque and not some spin-off deal. That will be quite interesting to see is what the homo's, the pro-gay politicans and the gay sympethizers will do then. I can bet you that the pro-gay politicans won't touch it.....unlike what they do when the same thing happens with a Catholic, Baptist, etc. church.

Another thing is how the school system in the US constantly attempts to push the gay agenda during sex education. Thing is, sex education is about human reproduction. Yet homosexual same sex couples can't have babies with each other. For this reason, gay sex should not be part of sex education in the public school system because it has absolutely nothing to do with human reproduction.

But I'm sure once they figure out how to make a baby with Bruce's eyes and Phil's lips via surrogate mother, they'll start teaching that to kids. And make no mistake, that's one of the hidden agendas going on in the science and medical feilds in at least one university in the bay area that I know of and has been for at least 12/14 years now. It all started when they were successful in cloning.
