Perry oversings like crazy and saturates each song with unnecessary histrionics that George Michael would find it too flamboyant. It doesn't completely suck, but hardly flawless.

Well, I don't own captured. Houston is not flawless either. Now, you do realize that if you hate on Perry too much, people will begin to ask Why do you hate America?

You don't own Captured?
You're missing out. I make no bones about the fact that Jon Cain's entry to the band helped elevate it in virtually every possible way, but that album is vocally superior to any live record the band ever produced afterwards. Perry was (relatively) a subtle singer who could belt it in the proper way.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

I don't own captured. One of the few things I don't own. I do own a picture of some random babe giving Steve head in a Lamborghini. Nobody else has that. I don't look at it though.

steveo, you just _have_ to get Captured. I can't tell you how much you've missed by not having heard it. Am at a loss for words...

Cool vid.... here's one of Neals rig... looks like he's gone fully to modeling (Fractal Audio units).. running the output of that through Blackstar heads to give his sound some tube feel.

The use of IR's is pretty common now, as the samples are actually really good, especially for live work.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
