Not even sure what to say this time except....lets play a 5 minute guitar solo....have the band join in a little and disguise it as a band jam and segue it into a song. Still sounds bad.....backgrounds are still way to high in the mix.....etc,etc,etc. And if Jimi doesn't know the words to a song.....Why play it? How embarrassing that sullivan is bascially telling him the words to Caught in the Game as he's singing them.

WOW! This is damn right embarrassing. I’m not sure where you start, but the part where JJ does not know the words to “Caught in the Game” and FS is mouthing them to him like a first grade choir teacher, might be the low point of being a lifelong fan of this band.

It’s hard to believe this is Survivor.

You have to wait a mere 6:21 to finally hear an awful rendition of “I Can’t Hold Back.” This might actually be worse than McSurvivor and I did not think that was possible.

JJ looks about 80 years old, but FS looks 90…

You can tell JJ does not give a rat’s tale. Heck, he can’t even be troubled to move his transmitter to the back of his pants (small things I know, but it’s all signs).

I don’t know where to start or even end. Has anyone ever seen these guys this bad?

And don’t give me set list. I’ve seen Dave do a GREAT job with JJ material and I’ve seen JJ do well with Dave stuff. Maybe a little off in the past, but not that down-right awful.

I am with JV…I don’t want to see a new album from this group and I sure as hell don’t want to hear it!

Never thought I’d say it, but they need to just HANG IT UP….damn….I HATE that….

I mean let's break it down...How did this happen? Why?

Why is it ever five or six years JJ goes back (gets forced) into Survivor for three or four more years...they lumber on....Break apart and talk sh#t about each other...They obviously don't like each other and they sound like CRAP!

More important...why do we continue to come here and even care!!!

Lastly...When is Re-Entry coming out again?

Wow! Jimi did not seem to know caught in the game at all...it seems th he knows the words, but he was singing out of sync, he was a bit ahead, Frankie was trying to reel him in...

I actually enjoyed it. Being a big fan of improvisation as well as blues rock (and 70s rock), falls nicely into my kind of thing.

Plus...many legendary singers forget their lines.

and evidently some not so legendary!

come on...forget is one thing...Frankie trying to mouth him the lyrics...that is awful. JJ has been signing this song since 1984 for goodness sake...

I'll give you this, if you enjoyed that, with that threshold of tolerance, you must live quite an amused life and I envy you because those were truly awful.

Look at this (1:13).
JJ has a songbook on stage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAdoCWtC ... ure=relmfu

But to say a good word: Jimi's voice sounds better then in some years before.

That's too much!!!! Does anyone else not agree that this almost is so bad it looks like a Saturday Night Live skit making fun of an old rock band? It's just soooo, going through the motions...

Look at the point around 3:48...you can hear FS backing vocals great...Once he steps away you have JJ screaming and he can't be heard over the damn guitar mix...the first three times I watched it back, I thought that the mic went out...

Don't get me wrong, JJ's voice is actually pretty strong, but this performance is so mailed in and messed up on so many levels....

Okay, this one and I'll stop! But this is CLASSIC...

Look at the :25 second mark...where JJ would normally go into the vocals (but instead we get more Frankie VanSullivan guitar)....The LOOK on his face is PRICELESS...if that does not say it all! CLASSIC

Check it out!

watch how in this one JJ looks down in between the verses to see the words!

We want these guys to tour with Journey and Foreigner etc and they can't even be troubled to learn the words! Dude has a songbook!

HAHA! He looks like a confused old man wondering how he ended up on a stage in the middle of a rock concert.

Ah, man, some of this stuff is probably more entertaining than if they were actually playing properly. I mean, at least now we have something to laugh at.

Seriously WTF is going on. I try to be a cheerleader, but I'm sorry this is shameful. There's taking the fans for granted, and then there's taking the fans for GRANTED. So you don't have time to put out a new cd (although you have years of written material never released), now clearly you don't have time to rehearse? JJ not knowing the words to Survivor songs that have been around for 30 years. This makes me sick. We deserve better. Shame on them.

I just watched "Caught In The Game." At what point doesn't JJ know the words? I saw FS mouthing the words along with him, but it didn't seem as though he was doing it to remind JJ of the words, since they were both singing it at the same time. Maybe I'm missed a part?

Eye of the Tiger is not 1/2 step or even 1 full step down... it's 1 AND 1 HALF steps down. I've never seen a band tune down that far. Not sure how you can conclude Jimi's voice is in awesome shape with that kind of an epic downtune.

Me.

I love the tune in itself, and like Marc's awesome middle part.

The crowd clapped. Maybe they didn't mind :D

Yeah. Whereas I would say that it's probably not a good idea to do too many of the Bickler songs with Jimi, seeing as that's a little higher range than he's suited for at this time. I do love when they play TYOAS, regardless of who's on vocals.

Hard to believe there is a lot of money in performances this bad...

The one CITG, he misses the words and is even laughing about it...it's classic...

The other video, where he looks down at the lyrics at the first of every phrase...classic~

And that lost look on Tiger...that just takes the cake!

Sadly it's the most amusement I have gotten from my favorite band in a long, long time....

I really do wonder what JP thinks?

Someone has to make sure he sees this stuff...

What is sad, is you can see all these videos these days and nothing from back when the band actually rocked...that is SAD!

What if Jimi is doing this like a sting operation for JP or something, and doing all the lyrics stuff to troll the band.

EDIT: okay just now seeing CITG Jimi's got to be trolling them 'cause I mean this there is no other way

Baron, I honestly can't believe how truly funny this is....

Or which part makes the laugh the most...

That look of JJ's face during "Tiger" is the most classic thing I've seen...

Then there is the part in CITG where Frankie is mouthing the words to him, and he is LAUGHING!

Or "Take You" where he reads from the songbook!

This is toooooo funny!

I'm still not seeing it. Looks to me like Frankie's just singing along (though, admittedly, that's a bit odd since Frankie isn't mic'd.) Is there a particular part of the song where JJ clearly doesn't know the words? I'm starting to feel like I'm blind for not seeing it.

I agree, Jimi definitely knows the words, but he's lost. If you listen to the beginning verse and the verse after the chorus, he starts singing a half beat ahead.
